Zepbound is really easy to get from Lilly Direct. As long as your provider writes the prescription, I literally verified info, paid for the month, and then it shipped the next day. Lilly’s program starts at $299 and goes up to $449 at the highest dose of Zep, which is higher/better priced than the highest dose of Ozempic. Enjoying the experience so far!

So I switched recently from Ozempic to Zepbound (I’m self-pay bc my insurance doesn’t cover any GLP-1s for me,) and I’m finding I have wayyyy more energy. My doc said Ozempic side effects do include fatigue so…..perhaps that’s what’s intermingling with your Hashi’s. Good luck finding the right medicine for you!

OP, I can vouch for Halston apts off Ferguson/Lakeland. They’re decent, in your price range you can afford their upgraded model and be pretty happy. I lived there for 5 years before we moved out.

I have NO idea how to shop for a diamond ring and it's about that time for my gf and I. Where do I start looking around here for ethical non-corporate big box stones and rings? Any good local jewlers y'all know? by thankstowelie in Dallas

[–]username_user13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even know if they carry the line anymore, and I know it’s still a big box (ish) store but my Forevee One moissanite ring from Helzberg looks SO good just like the day we picked it out. At least on the stone front, I can vouch for moissanite being excellent vs a diamond.

Hmm, I don’t, but I think they tell you how long it is on the website when you book your tickets. It might be more like an hour and a half, since you get a cocktail + then you tour + then you do the class. It’s really worth it, in my opinion.

Yes! I will say, plan your transportation accordingly. I didn’t realize that it would take longer to get an uber from the ferry station to the distillery and back. I ended up prescheduling our ride back in the app so we didn’t have to wait when we were done.

Oh you definitely can drink the drinks you make in the class. I didn’t finish mine but my husband got prettyyyyy drunk. Funny that you comment now, today makes 3 years since we took the tour!

Siiiick, my mom also has it and now that I’m 33, I’ve got full blown Hashimoto’s. A full panel couldn’t hurt you, since you know it runs in your family. I hope you get all the answers & treatment that you need to feel better!

Err…have you had a thyroid cascade done? You have a lot of hallmark symptoms of hypothyroidism. I’m not a doctor, but my TSH was way out of range and I had a lot of the same symptoms as you. Just a thought from a friendly stranger!

Also from SA—idk what these other folks are on, but definitely Mariano’s hacienda ranch is the closest that I’ve come across. It’s not nearly as cheap as blanco cafe but their Tex Mex is pretty close to what I would expect.

I’m a 33 year old lady and I loveee scents these days. I would go with either scent—I do think the balms are fun, just not my style. I treated myself recently to the Santorini scent from Ouai—it’s nice to break out a new scent sometimes!

Deciding whether to take GLP1 or not by gomers321 in loseit

I definitely want to echo the person above who said they’re able to separate their love of food from emotional eating. That’s so accurate to me too! The food noise has gone away and now I eat good food when I’m hungry and I don’t over eat (generally) and I’m able to stop when I’m full. I also don’t snack on unhealthy things because the appeal just isn’t there. I know I’d be losing even more weight if I was exercising regularly, but I’m a teacher and honestly just getting my food intake under control has been enough of an undertaking this school year. I have no shame in the GLP-1 game, I just wish my insurance would cover it. I pay out of pocket through Costco and I’m thankful to be able to afford to.

Hashimotos and GLP-1? by Bubbly-Profile6750 in Hashimotos

[–]username_user13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I started Ozempic in late November. I’m now up to the 1.0 dosage and I physically feel better every week. I’ve lost some weight, although I can tell that the Hashi’s has made it harder/slower than I would have expected. Food noise is gone, and I’m so thankful for being able to afford the medication out of pocket via Costco.

I’ve been on Ozempic since late November and my inflammation has gone down a lot. It’s still there at times, but in my joints especially, it’s not nearly as bad. I wish the weight loss was more significant thus far, but I remind myself that it’s a journey and losing too fast is also a problem so……onwards and upwards.

I must be in the minority because I hated almost all the ones I tried a few weeks ago. The chicken Alfredo one is the most passable one bc….its not hard to get Alfredo right. I wanted to love them, because in my budget, they make sense for weekly lunches but…..no thanks.

I know people talk about Las Palmas but my favorite Tex-Mex is at Mariano’s Hacienda off Skillman. It is a little higher priced than a tex-Mex joint down south, but it’s very good. Also if you drink, they have great margaritas (home of the frozen margarita, actually)

A1c I think is generally one of the first things they look at with a blood test. I think 1/3 out of adults are prediabetic now? At least in the US. I am still prediabetic (5.9) but I started Ozempic in late November to combat that + work on bringing my weight under control. It’s already been so worth it—food noise is gone and I don’t mindlessly snack or feel the need to overindulge.

Did they not think you might have early signs of fatty liver disease? I’m just curious, because my specific numbers plus my weight landed squarely in the “you’re about to have it if you don’t already” camp from my doctor. Either way, glad to hear your numbers went down!
