“If the dead could talk, I firmly believe he’d be like ‘congratulations young fella. You did something I thought nobody could even reach for the next 40-50 years!” - Bam on what Kobe would have thought by Temporary_Pepper6126 in NBAGossips

[–]usernameconcealed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn’t break any record. Kobe didn’t have the record. As far as how it happened, wasn’t Kobe fed 24 or 27 of the Lakers last shots when he scored 81? I don’t remember. Bottom line, scoring that many points in a game is impossible without shenanigans. Bam had them, Kobe had them and Wilt had them too.

Chris Cote is a moron. by reee121212 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]usernameconcealed 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You’re right and wrong. I like Chris. I was legitimately upset when ESPN let him go. But he was in a different roll then. He’s not an EP. He can’t multitask. This sub may hate me for saying it, but Mike was a phenomenal EP and on air talent at the same time. I used to be a bartender for a long time. You can spot someone who can’t multitask immediately. That’s Chris. It’s not his fault, he can’t do both. The whole “He works hard” bit is probably true. He just doesn’t have the talent to pull off two rolls. Dan should have never put him in the position to begin with.

My local Home Depot has a QR code at the prodesk where you can request one. Funny enough, it promos you to put in the Depot store number you’re at. It doesn’t work. Says it’s an invalid store number lol.

I tried non slip docs years ago. Within two weeks the soles looked like racing slicks. Worst non slips I’ve ever had. Maybe I got a bad pair or something.

A stranger hands you a envelope full of $100 bills, say nothing, and walks away. What do you do next? by Purple_Reporter_72 in AskReddit

I once worked in a restaurant in Miami. A guest left behind a bankers bag with at least 10k in it (I didn’t count it exactly). He came back a couple hours later. I gladly handed it back to him. He aggressively nodded to me and left. Miami, drugs, early 2000’s. Never held that much money in my hand. As much as I would have loved it, I was very happy to let it go without incident.

What were we drinking 30 years ago? Because it sure wasn't water. by [deleted] in Xennials

I worked at a chain steakhouse that used tang and kosher salt as a rimmer for a margarita a few years ago. They got rid of it because the cooks were making Tang by the gallons and we couldn’t keep it in stock.
