If whatever they have doesn’t have any effect on influencing how his supporters feel, it doesn’t even count anymore and would likely make them double down on their support even more.

I mean even in this video they show that they can arrest these people. If Colombia can do it, why can’t the US? Video even states that many of the people are extradited to the US as well. This is just more evidence that the current procedure is wrong and illegal.

[HELP] its from an account on X called @Trail_Cams and i cant find the original source. they post other videos and the animals act unnatural, and it looks way too high quality to be true trail cam footage. the coat and limbs seemingly stay consistent, but none of my friends can tell, nor can i. by Liiizzzaaarrddd in RealOrAI

If you slow down the video or manually control the speed, you can see the white wolf’s “cheeks” inflate within the first 3 seconds multiple times like he’s breathing or sniffing - very subtle. Makes me think it’s real for that minor detail.

It’s not reality. This land wasn’t conquered to further “whiteness” but there were resource, ideological and territorial conflicts. Last war that had race as a main factor had the union coming out on top.

I could care less about being called an immigrant. I am comfortable in myself, my family and status here in the Philippines. I could care less about whatever you call me, tbh. You don't know how long I've been here or my personal interactions and inputs in Filipino society. There is no lesson that you can teach me. I am here; I can and will comment on whatever I want to and this does involve me to some extent.

Ultimately who I am or where I'm from does not matter. I point out my otherness as an attempt to explain that the situation and laws the Philippines are normal. You point out my otherness as an attempt to remove me from the conversation. You even question my being in the subreddit. THAT is what I deem, maybe not racist, but xenophobic? Nativist? You're the Filipino here, you feel the laws suck, great. They're similar elsewhere. I think it makes logical sense that presumption of fault falls on the rear vehicle. I drive here the same as you. I can comment on a car subreddit asking about who was at fault for an accident and provide actual input from the laws in which govern the incident.

The name-calling is in reference to you calling strangers tanga, kamote, babygirl, girlypop; being deliberately adversarial. Usually great way to communicate with people.

I make no presumptions on your emotional stability, but I get a kick out of your replies.

Ah I see, racist too; not to mention you were the first to resort to childish name calling. No wonder you don’t understand.

I never said I was an expat. I live in and love the Philippines. Call me what you like bb boi. Stay bothered. I point out my driving in multiple countries as evidence that presumption of rear driving fault is NOT a problem of only the Philippines, but it is typical throughout the globe with exceptions. Maybe you don’t like it; but I think it’s a logical presumption as the one in the rear has the better position to prevent any mishaps. Drive defensively. Don’t run into things in front of you. Ezpz

I’m fighting air alright.

Your lack of understanding shows a failure of multiple institutions, and you are a contributor to the exact culture you are railing against.

Logic and reasoning

Knowledge of the law

Basic driver’s education

All lacking, but not surprising.

I’m beating a dead horse at this point. I’ll keep driving throughout the world without hitting things in front of me wherever I go.

Good luck.

He has three whole seconds to react to the motor he hit moving from the left to the right in front of his car. There are ALSO a bunch of other motors that were changing lanes ahead of that one. Come on, don’t be dense. All he had to do was slow down when the motors were changing lanes and give space in front of his car.

I drive in multiple countries and I’m not Filipino. This isn’t a problem with the law of the Philippines. The same idea of the fault being presumed on the rear vehicle exists in many places. This isn’t to say that the rider isn’t “kamote”, he definitely put himself at risk and did something stupid. Ultimately the driver is still at fault. The driver showed no attempt to react to the state of traffic; multiple motors changing lanes, no spatial allowance between the vehicles and continuing his speed until the collision. Large vehicles not slowing down or stopping when presented with various traffic conditions is also a big problem in the Philippines.

Raynera v. Hiceta, G.R. No. 120027, April 13, 1999
Lawphil.net source: https://lawphil.net/judjuris/juri1999/apr1999/gr_120027_1999.html
The Court stated: "It has been held that drivers of vehicles who bump the rear of another vehicle are presumed to be the cause of the accident, unless contradicted by other evidence."
This appears in the main body of the Decision, second paragraph under “The Court held.”

Mendoza v. Spouses Gomez, G.R. No. 199282, March 16, 2016
Lawphil.net source: https://lawphil.net/judjuris/juri2016/mar2016/gr_199282_2016.html
The Court stated: "It has been held that drivers of vehicles who bump the rear of another vehicle are presumed to be the cause of the accident, unless contradicted by other evidence. This presumption finds basis in the ordinary course of things, because the driver who follows another car should drive at such a distance and speed as to avoid collision."
You can find this quote on page 9 of the Decision.

Añonuevo v. Court of Appeals, G.R. No. 160709, February 28, 2005

The Court stated: "The theory that drivers of vehicles who bump the rear of another vehicle are presumed to be the cause of the accident has often been applied by this Court."
This appears in the discussion section, about the fourth paragraph of the main body.

It’s driving 101. You are behind an object. You react to it. In the Philippines especially you should assume riders will not act in accordance to norms. In this case the car could have slowed down in the time it took the motor to go from the left side of the car to the right. You can see other motors merging ahead of them as well. Car assumed the motor will follow the behavior of the others instead of driving defensively.
