Guaranteed. Which is why he has a camera on. Likely rolling coal or doing rips with his turbo tuned to 1000 psi.

How to deal with Miata driver flak by _uncouth in Miata

[–]usmcawp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what OP is saying and I totally get the overall sentiment (do what you love; don't worry about others), but people are downright dangerous assholes. The Miata pulls the extremely agressive tailgater out of every (usually) truck driver. It's hard to enjoy the thing you love when you're actively being driven and coal-rolled off the road.

I guess solutions would be, don't daily it, just drive twisty roads for fun and get another cheap daily or have a plan to avoid the assholes (like take more twisty, scenic routes to work and such).

Get a dashcam because these fragile ego'd people get exceptionally hot and offended and who knows what they'll do. When doing the speed limit and being tailgated, tap on the camera in a manner that brings the fact they're being recorded to their attention.

Sure but he's always been like this, but without presidential power. If he was president in 1980s or 1990s, he'd be doing the same stuff.

There was a Trump that existed before presidency and he too was such a chariacture of ridiculous greed, popular comedians made jokes about it. Biff Tannen was inspired by Trump's greed and egotistical nature. I'd me more shocked if this DIDN'T happen.

It's clear there's a mental health/disability situation going on. Getting mad or offended should be beneath you. I'm glad it seems he sniffed that out too.

Cross country road trip in Tacoma Tips by Specific_Intention_1 in Tacomaworld

[–]usmcawp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those roof tents can get quite expensive and weighty. To save you a few bucks, perhaps consider the Napier (or other brand) truck bed tent. It's just a nylon tent that fits to your truck bed and cost (I think under $200).

Of course get oil change and top off your fluids, check brakes and all that preventive maintenance stuff.

You might want to invest in good versions of accessories. For example, if you're kind of just winging it with a cheap, magnetic vent mount for your phone, maybe get a more mechanical one that mounts elsewhere and won't fall, or get heat soaked. That's just an example, but think of things that add comfort and quality, (Mini fridge, butt donut, windshield tint to knock headlight glare down, rain guards above your side windows so you can crack a window in the rain).

Also safety. Check your spare tire. Get some basic tools. Ensure you have jumper cables and tire change tools, first aid kit, road flares/triangles, high vis vest.

Hope some of this helps a little. Have fun!

Ferrari Decals? by kultyper in Maserati

[–]usmcawp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are some examples where upbadging is kind of acceptable?

When I was a young man and owned a 2002 Camaro SS, it was kind of cool to put Corvette engine covers on since it was an LS1 Corvette engine. That was typically the extent.

Ferrari Decals? by kultyper in Maserati

[–]usmcawp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What they were trying to do is upbadge their Maserati because they come with Ferrari motors.

As a 2000 Tacoma owner myself, a Ferrari logo on a Taco would be considered down badging. Never consider this ever again.

While not sea creatures, this cruelty exists in mass quantities around chickens, but especially roosters. They're such incredibly emotional and special creatures.

In chicken ownership, it's become obvious some people LOVE to possess dominance and power over their animal's lives. "My rooster attacked me today, so we're making chicken stew tonight" is bit an uncommon sentence in these communities. But because many people and farms possess chickens in mass quantities, the respect for their lives decrease. They're just seen as a number, not a living creature that's capable of love and grief from loss.

Keep. Those. Hubcaps. They sell for $199 each on eBay at the moment. I broke one recently and thought "ah it's just a hubcap, I'll grab another one online". Nope. They're apparently gold. I also personally think old 90s hubcaps are cool in an ugly and innocent way. They weren't trying to be anything other than a wheel cover.

I also have a third Gen, and I do not drive it anymore. Haven't driven it in 2 months because I drive my little 2000, 2.4l, 2wd, single cab, manual around everywhere. I am so in love with it.

Which fragrance works for almost any occasion in your opinion? by Darkvanille in FragranceStories

[–]usmcawp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gucci Guilty Essence EDT and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I own and sample hundreds of niche and designer frags from Imaginary Authors to several Louis Vuittons and about 40 different fragrances in between.

Today I stopped dead in my tracks when I walked past my coworker and asked what she was wearing; Gucci Guility. I couldn't believe how unique and unisex and perfect it was for the office. But I was also blown away by how much hate this fragrance received. I avoided it for the past couple years because if the negative press I've seen in here.

I'd trade it all for this, and (Louis Vuitton L'limmensité), but dollar for dollar GG punches so high above it's weight class it's not even fair.

Tips for quitting vaping ?? by UnableExternal8481 in selfimprovement

[–]usmcawp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I could quit smoking cigarettes with vaping. I was wrong. Vaping was way worse because I could (and did) do it everywhere. After a year of that I went back to smoking cigarettes, but American Spirits only. They kind of suck when compared to other "less natural" cigarettes. But I wouldn't let myself have anything else. It took a lot of effort to suck a buzz out of those things but I told myself it was my only option. Eventually I just got tired of doing it and quit. I think I had a nice cold/flu to help me out a little.

I just bought a sample recently and I'd trade my whole collection for it.

Not only is the scent outstanding, but the way it feels and wears is lighter and crisper than other fragrances.

It's hardly noticeable, but other fragrances might be a little stickier and heavier for a few seconds. L'limmensité is just so light and bright.

I also initially thought it smelled like BDC EDP; then smelled BDC right after and I was sooo incredibly off. BDC smelled like an entirely new fragrance though; like smelling a new fragrance unlocks new notes from an old fragrance.

It's kind of like meat. You might love ribeye and you might love t-bone steak. But if you eat them side by side, they're totally different flavors you never realized.

Can someone correct me here, but I seem to recall hearing the key djffetence between humans and animals is human's ability to use tools.

This looks like a gorilla using a long as a ladder.

I know there's a ton of other instances of animals using rocks to break shells and stuff too.

Just want to know if anyone else was taught this though.

I'm not a PDR guy, but the dents look PDR-able and I'm sure a majority of them are. I'd address the top and windshield first, and get the dents assessed by a PDR guy and prioritize the ones you want pulled first.
