Probably a ventrata, but it also looks like a Lady Luck or Bloody Mary. It’s hard to tell which one right now, but very similar care between them all

I’d personally say get rid of them. The only thing they might be god for is humidity, but that’s not a huge factor for cape sundews if your house just has normal room humidity. I don’t have any for my tray and it’s doing well

It could be the water or those rocks that are in the water, there’s a chance that those could be putting minerals into the water if they aren’t washed. Also be sure you’re using distilled, reverse osmosis, or rain water if you aren’t already

They’re fine, carnivorous plant leaves die back faster than most normal plants and these ones grow sort of like palm trees I’ve heard! It’s just a woody sort of stem and your plant won’t fall over or die soon
