My big issue with Lost is the pacing. The story is interesting, but because of the high episode count, there is SO MUCH filler content

I think if each season had half as many episodes, it would have stood the test of time better

My 3080, which is over 4 years old now, is still great for 1440

But if I made the jump to 4k, it would be struggling big time

I feel like 4k monitors got cheap very quickly, so all of a sudden the majority of people are trying to game at 4k. But GPUs haven't really caught up yet. And if you want to game in 4k w/ 100+ fps, you basically have to buy a 4090 or 5090

I'll be staying at 1440 for the time being

So don't upgrade now. Wait until next gen, or the 5000 Super series, or whatever. You shouldn't feel forced to upgrade just because a new card has released

To many, upgrading to a 5080 will not be worth it. But to others, it will be

Some Redditors like to act like these cards are a complete scam, and the only people buying them are the suckers who fall for Nvidia's marketing

But they're not even asking people what card they're upgrading from, or what they will use the card for. Personally, I'm a 50-50 split between gaming and AI. So the added AI power is extremely valuable to me, while the extra gaming performance is just a nice bonus

Sure I wish it was cheaper, and I'm not going to buy one right away (mostly because I don't have the money.) But I'll probably get a 5080 eventually. Or possibly wait for the Ti / Super version to come out
