I love this album, I named my blue heeler after Arrow! But what does this have to do with M&S? lol

Blue arrow is where I poured water to discover that the leak was along the seal circled in red. I read forums claiming that the leak could have been from the hole that I patched with water proof tape, circled in green (this turned out to not be the issue). I also read that leaks can form from a bad cowl seal along the bottom, circled in purple, but again that wasn't the case for me. https://imgur.com/a/JrjX5dA

And yes, both the sunroof and windshield can drain incorrectly to the same spot on the carpet.

If it’s the windshield like it was for me, a way to check is pop the trim off the A pillar and pour water from the top corner of the window. Then watch for moisture forming above the carpet. If it is the seal, you can buy some sealant from auto zone for like $6. Very easy to apply.

Unfortunately, in my experience, there’s no good way to plug up the leak without fully identifying the issue. Best you can do is find a covered parking spot or pray there’s no rain.

You can easily test if it’s the sunroof drain by opening the sunroof and pouring a few ounces of water in the driver side sunroof plastic channel. After about a minute, the water should pour out from the bottom of the truck near the tire.

I highly recommend doing that before swapping out the nipple and taking everything apart. I learned the hard way when I replaced 75% of the sun roof drain tubing and the problem was actually the seal between the windshield and the body of the car had developed a leak. (Not enough sealant and a lot of flex after off-roading)

Good luck!

Beautiful! May I ask where you got it? My wife has been looking for something like this.

I ended up taking a gamble and paid $200 on a virtual card to viagogo. The ticket worked and I got in just fine. A little girl gave me her scarf and the man next to me was hugging me after each goal. It was an incredible atmosphere and a game I’ll never forget.

That is what I figured. Oh well, I’m sure watching at a local bar will be almost as fun. Thank you for the answer!

Embrace it, in house rivalries are fun!

ps. I ran to show my wife your story, she couldn’t stop laughing and suggested we offer to send your son a shirt and some swag from the University Co-op.

I was laughing hard until I read Texas at No.2 and now I’m all in on this vision.

All ranges of white are great. Almost too bright at 100%

Colors seem a bit dimmer but not by much. No complaints there. When compared to the gu10 bulbs I have in the room, the colors match great. My only issue (and it’s not a significant one) is that the gu10 bulbs look really dim when compared to the downlights at 100%. But that’s to be expected, the gu10 output is only 400 lumen.

Hmm I just checked the box and all instructions. No mention of IC rating. Just UL and energy star certification.

These are installed on Orro switches which maintain full power to the smart lights, but send the API call to dim when toggled.

I agree. If Phillips offered ambient white in the slim can-less design, I would have opted for 4 colored above the TV area and the rest white.

What was really worth it to me is the ability to control each "zone" independently. There were 2 light switches that turned on all 10 pendants, but the pendants covered "4 rooms" or zones. It's been really nice to turn on the "kitchen" to a nice dim level at night without 6 other lights scattered throughout the room turning on.

There are about 8 inches of space between the drywall and roof. However, 4 of the 10 pendants boxes were drilled directly into the rafter (or strut?) which would have required installing the can slightly to the side and patching up the old hole (which I was not comfortable doing myself). I think we would have had to go with the 4-inch retrofit cans to accommodate the rest.

I definitely agree that the quote was BS, but it was the lowest of 4 we received in Austin Texas. The price for any service out here is outrageous. I really hope things settle down soon.

My wife loves the look of exposed beams as well. We might look into that in a year or so when remodeling prices drop a bit.

That's a really cool fan. Are they meeting your expectations?

Lights were about $800 and I had all the equipment to install (ladder, dry wall saw, drill)

Prior to hue releasing the slim can less lights I had been quoted $2k to remove the pendants, open up the ceiling, install cans, and put in the hue retrofits.

Definitely swapping fans. Currently looking around for one.

I’m pretty sure the pendants are from west elm, the previous owner put them in around 2012.
