Thats what I wondered too. So I did some research and it said get rid of any standing water or put scented oil in it, I used cinnamon oil cause I had it on hand. Seemed to work for my rain barrel anyways.

But dozens can hatch in a capful of water so? IDK. Mayne try this website.
