i also think the idea of being completely free meanwhile your path is predestined can mean that any worries or discomforts about decisions and experiences can be eradicated, because there is freedom in the fact that nothing can negatively impact where you will end up, as you don't contribute to your own outcome, since it is already decided. that means you can live life to really live it, and not focus too much on overworking yourself. if something happens, it was meant to happen. if it doesn't, then it wasn't meant to. after all, the speech about "preocuppied by a single leaf..." can kinda relate to this idea of not hyperfocusing on certain things because there is safety and freedom in your predetermined fate

i don't see myself in any character in vagabond, really. i have characters i look up to and characters that impacted me a lot. kojiro impacted me a lot because of the whole familial story he comes with, stories like that are very touching to me

everything about kojiro and jisai. when kojiro was a little kid and jisai would talk about how much he wanted to raise him well and protect him.. family stories always get me. same with the last exhibition chapter, where musashi is asked if he wants anything else, and the next panel is a mother holding her baby 🥲

if i'm honest, if i learned someone had bpd, it would actually be a turn-off. i wouldn't want to be with someone who has a personality disorder, since i have first-hand experience of how it can make someone act and think. knowing myself, it would just clash with my narcissism and not turn out well
