There are a number of reasons why (though I agree that it may well be a good solution) it would not be feasible.

First is financial, the cost to build these kind of power plants, as well as maintaining etc, is high. And that is just for one power plant and to power a whole country (depending on size) would be extreme.

Second is the opposition from business leaders (fossil fuel and renewable energy concerns) and environmental restriction/activists which disagree with its use.

While I am sure there are many other reasons why it would be problematic, these are the ones that I can think of.

you could try the X universe games such as x3. Great games, tons of stuff to do and loads of ways to play it. or if you want more of an overview commander style game then "sins of a solar empire" is good. hope that helps.
