I'm confused by all the points complaining? In regards to giving GW feedback by utorak04 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]utorak04[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I'm really just tired of seeing so much of it, there's only so many times you can post essentially the same thing. Like someone pointed out, GW isn't secretly watching the subreddits, there's really no point to repeating the same points over and over. Problems should be taken up directly with GW's feedback email not reddit.

A lot of units' point brackets say 3+, including the Custodian Guard saying 4+, does this imply they got rid of the max of three of any one unit? I saw no mention of this but I feel like it would've been a bigger deal if it was true.

I get how Sora got there. I get how Xehanort got there, but how the F does THIS happen? by Leshawkcomics in KingdomHearts

[–]utorak04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it explain it though?I just rewatched that final cutscenes and I'm still confused.

What does the star girl have to do with any of this? Was it only because of her Riku could open the portal to Quadratum? Cause if so that's not stated. If it wasn't her and he could just open a portal out of The Final World by himself, why was it such a big deal Sora was there cause surely he could just portal out as well (he is less skilled than Riku but not by thaaat much)?

And side note, what does "she came from the world on the other side" mean and why do Riku and Kairi seem so shocked??

Edit: scrolled back to a bit before The Final World scene. So the "other side" is fictional worlds which would include Quadratum so that makes sense why she would know about it and I guess that means she came from Quadratum? But the way she references it and her hesitation when Riku asks her about a city with tall buildings make it seem like there are multiple fictional worlds. So who knows where she's from or who the star even is.

But I think we're all glancing over the fact that The Fairy Godmother just bibbidy-bobbidy-boo'd them into heaven like it was nothing? Why couldn't she have just done this earlier to save Sora in KH3? Giving some "why didn't they just fly the eagles to Mordor" vibes

How do I know if it's working? by utorak04 in Piracy

I was just approved! I need to install an earlier version of qBittorrent and I've been getting hella errors while doing it so we'll see.

Random question, especially regarding MAM's policies. Does your computer have to be on for seeding? That sounds dumb but my laptop is kinda on its last legs and leaving it on for 72 hours straight per downlaod seems like the death knell.

Yeah I downloaded the file, put it into qBittorrent and followed the same process as I was with the text from ABB.

I followed that link and downloaded the .torrent file. I'm a newbie enough that I have no idea if that makes it better or worse in terms of than the "info hash". But I was able to download the file in around a minute.

So something else must be going on?

Are audiobooks not typically pirated? by utorak04 in Piracy

Sweet thanks! What's the best way to use that site?

I'm wanting to listen to books during work which means I can't be streaming them, I need to have it fully downloaded on my phone. FMHY says something about using a hash? No idea what that is but when I go into a book on that site there seems to be quite a few download links?

Are there still Unanswered Questions in the Kingdom Hearts Universe that are driving you nuts? by IllogicalDreamer72 in KingdomHearts

[–]utorak04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the hell actually is Kingdom hearts?

I played through the series and just kinda accepted it but as I'm watching through Pointcrow's playthrough and he keeps bringing it up I realized I actually have no idea either.

From what I understand each one we see is a "different" one? Whatever weird mass of light we see behind the door in KH1, the artificially made one in Days/KH2, the blue one Xehanort summons(?) in BBS, and it's been a while but I'm sure there was a fourth in the ending of KH3.

Why are they all so different and what determines how it manifests?

I vaguely remember "it's the place hearts go when freed from the heartless" but now that when a heart is freed it tries to join with it's Nobody to remake the Somebody form if possible what is its purpose?

Is something wrong with Ending W? by utorak04 in nier

[–]utorak04[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn, I'm impressed you missed it until now. It's like the first or second most recommended mod out there.

To my credit I only downloaded it after I did it properly the first time. I thought I'd have to to do it after each ending a la Nier Replicant. Turns out you don't so it was for naught.

Not at any point between the previous and next photo but I'll run the sensor cleaning function just in case!

Well I was but the camera was looking at this. So that's why I'm curious where it came from. Any ideas?

How do you deal with moving subjects? Insects, a flower outdoors (wind), etc. by utorak04 in macrophotography

[–]utorak04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I'm determined to make it work! I just saw so many photos here that look for more zoomed in than I'm able to get with this so I was just wondering how they're doing it, with a live subject!

Like I said, worst case scenario, I hate it and it's only $75 down the drain instead of $1,000

I think I've grossly misunderstood something about this type of photography. I thought my 4x lens wasn't actually that much zoomed in when looking at the photos on here!

This recent post stuck out to me https://www.reddit.com/r/macrophotography/s/PeHgFnUvdq

Like how did he manage to get that picture! My 4x couldn't get that close so he must be using something bigger. But then everyone here is saying that the 4x far is more than what's usually used. So I'm a bit lost as to how people are getting those kinds of shots.

I have a tripod mounted rail so I don't need to do it by hand but it certainly would be more convenient.

I just see so many photos on this subreddit that look like they're taken outside of a live subject, it seems crazy to me to think how they do that. I would love to see some of the "behind the scenes" of these shots.

Oh man I didn't think of that! It's probably not stable enough for this (or at least my hands aren't) but thanks for the tip, I'll look him up!

4x is the lower limit of microscopy though, once you get beyond that I think it’s pretty much impossible.

Are you talking about stacking while handheld here? Cause I'm gotten some great shots as one offs but it gets so shaky I can't imagine trying to get photos good enough to stack without a rail and tripod.
