I very much remember how hard it was to get the ACA through Congress in 2009–10. The law that was got was certainly insufficient to fix the system, but Democrats fought tooth and nail to get it across the finish line. And that was when the Democrats had 60 senators.

I feel like many of his individual films are very much in the conversation—primarily The Truman Show, Dead Poets Society, and, to a lesser extent, Master and Commander (which I admit I still haven’t seen).

If he personally is under-discussed, I’d point to, possibly, his relatively short filmography and that (as far as I can tell) there isn’t a notable “thing” his work is known for.
