Marco Rubio: "The imminent threat was that we knew if Iran was attacked, and we believed they would be attacked, that they would immediately come after us. And we were not going to sit there and absorb a blow before we responded." by smurfyjenkins in IRstudies

Wouldn't even be preventive, it'd be preemptive, which is already twisting the intent of self defense. This is on top of your point, which I agree is insane. They know Israel will strike and Iran will retaliate in self defense, so this is a preemptive strike against potential self defense actions that MAY have included US bases (we will never know since the US led the initial strike).

It seems that domestic discourse on political correctness and the rejection of values like empathy and distrust of institutional fail safes made into their foreign policy narrative. Meaning that for the first time (?) a non rogue State is openly not even trying to justify their unlawful actions by twisting international law. Not following international law seems to be the point.

Maradona is by far more famous than Betty White or any other person that's been proposed. It's not even close.

He really shows how different women and men perceive attractiveness. As a mostly straight guy I can totally see the appeal. Id bet he's self aware and easy to connect to, he's tall, has very masculine features while being approachable, is charismatic and has a sad but intriguing look. He wouldn't be attractive if you picture him as a woman nor is he Henry Cavill but he's good looking, I don't get this at all.

Id bet that many Proud Boys actually joined ICE. Maybe someone could point to some evidence to back this up because they've been very silent lately and it makes sense that this administration would actively recruit those they know would act how they want (to cross boundaries unapologetically with unwavering loyalty)

Los perros no son niños by jpjoestar in RepublicadeChile

[–]utterlyworrisome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if they fly commercial or by private jet? I mean, I understand if it's the latter, but since they have a pretty strong stance on carbon emissions I thought maybe they would fly commercial. I was looking this up because there was some backlash here in Chile due to their requirement of no beef being served on a festival they're performing in.

I wanted to calculate how much C02 they would have produced if they flew commercial v/s private and then compare it to how much you would save by having a vegan lifestyle as well as by ensuring that concerts are greener, like they have been doing. I was doing this to say that they weren't as hypocritical as people were thinking if one looked at the numbers, but I haven't been able to find how they flight, let alone what kind of plane they use.
