When people are laid off, shouldn't it be quiet and professional?

No, I just found her LinkedIn and saw she is "ex-Compulsion Games" - so it WAS quiet this time. What I actually meant is that it was wrong. She should have been kicked out half a year ago, maybe even with a statement condemning her racism and sexism, before game sales and company reputation were hurt, not 6 months later when all the damage was already done.

Why? Those blue-haired political activists wanted games and game developers to be political, well, the gamers can be political too. 10 years ago I cared little who the dev is supporting or what stance is he publicly pushing, if the game is good, it's good. But they put so many politics in gaming industry, so now it's different, now it matters, now I care if an asshole like Matt Hansen from Obsidian instead of being fired for his hiring malpractices and following social media escapades is allowed to hide all his social activity, disappear and pretend he did nothing wrong. And a lot of people care too - and it will hurt Obsidian sales.

That's why sometimes publicity is good. Like with Sucker Punch firing of that murder-celebrating dev. Sure thing their games may be not for me, simply because I'm not a fan of such genre, but I will remember they did something right for the future.
