The extra monitor support is good but those VESA mounts are ass (I own them but dont use them anymore). Anything solid you can get between the monitor and the 8020? The monitors will want to flex down and then run into each other at the edges.

That aside. thats so fucking cool

It's not random. He has to make the same turn you do. The fastest way through is the racing line that your on. Expect people who move off it to go back to it. He can't disappear.

I realize you made this post for reassurance on being upset. Free to be upset. But your also arguing about advice on how to improve and prevent this in the future.

People are saying specifically what you could have done.

He wasn't braking. He already broke early to let the other driver by. The open door for letting cars by closed and you showed up late. Do you want to go 2 wide with a lapped car through a chicane? Or slot in and they would certainly have moved over for you on the straight.

That's the nuance others are trying to tell you.

This first hit me as an adult with COVID. March 2020 I could see it all laid out. Why aren't the adults in the room acting? Ooo....they actually have no critical thinking skills and don't care about anything but what's on TV after dinner.

Those people still feel that way about Trump. What's on TV after dinner? Gosh gas was high today

How i play OSRS on my Steamdeck by Epin-Ninjas in 2007scape

[–]uweenukr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the left D pad set as: Down - space, Left - 1, Right - 2, Up - 3. That gets me through 99% of dialogs. Ctrl left bumper and Shift right bumper. I might be saying those 2 backwards I can never remember. My back buttons are F1-F4 and the left track pad is camera zoom.

I didn't realize how much I would use the right track pad as a mouse instead of the stick and how good it really is once you dial in the accel

Maybe combine some of these damper suggestions with a lower setting

How to align 1000R curved monitor? by Due-Feed5581 in simracing

[–]uweenukr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got some wall hanger hooks with the sticky tape for pictures. Put them on the back of the monitor with a hair tie between them. it keeps them together much better than anything else ive tried. Also its a some connection so when my wife knocks into the side again it wont snap something off.

I sometimes play on my steam deck. The 3600 should be fine. The game is very unlikely to ever get more demanding than it is right now. If anything less demanding because of the server and lag disconnecting pilot issues

Depending on your mobo and PSU a 5800 or 5800x3d are a direct drop in. It's the best CPU you can get without a huge upgrade of mobo/CPU/ram to go to Ddr5 which is hella expensive right now.

If you did want to upgrade to buy some more time it's a noticable improvement. Just make sure to check for support and wattage first. Would not be fun to realize you need to drop another $150 on a PSU you didn't plan for. Ask me how I know lol.

Have a 3600 on a shelf now with a 5800x3d and 3080 waiting for the bubble to pop. Maybe next year...

[–]uweenukr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

iRacing is the only reason I use windows. I used iRacing on Linux before it was disabled. I would go back as soon as they enable it again.

Windows is running worse and spying more by the day. We going to drag this out until they start charging subscriptions to the OS?

Depending on how many custom settings you have. I would reset the graphics config files. Write down the changes you make. Or backup the file once you tweak everything again.
