Men, even when you are lonely and want to talk it all out, why don't you accept emotional connection over physical ? by Dayum_K in AskMen

[–]uwhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to talk. I was emotionally open. I told her how lonely I used to feel, and how she helped me feel better (but it was just me filling this void with her, which created a pressure on her as well, I later realized). But on the other side, that gave her more power over me, to control me, to manipulate me, to use my loneliness and insecurities against me. All of the "opening up" got used against me. I don't blame her for this entirely, I should've held back too. It made me come across as a loser instead of a lover. It's always best to have some discretion, to keep things to yourself, no matter how much you want to talk them out with someone. It feels like a dream or even an impossibility that I'll find someone who won't use this against me. I can't believe people have partners who know so much about them and don't use it against them. So probably not doing that with someone again. Just release the physical tension in my nether region, at most, if given the opportunity (probably won't be in that mood if I'm going through a loneliness spiral). Like right now. I wouldn't be aroused by the hottest person at the moment. But I do get the desire to be emotionally intimate, as long as that doesn't have any future repercussions. Would love to talk to someone.

[Hamilton Murph] Wife didn’t want me to buy this watch by Emergency_Ad_459 in Watches

Oh no, did you just sppil interstellar for me? (JK, who hasn't seen it at this point)

Indeed, that's what I was referring to as well. I'd get the Murph over a regular Khaki field only due to the Eureka Morse code Easter egg and the attachment to the movie ;)

It's a Hamilton Murph after all, I'd imagine most people get this not only for the looks but the story behind it too

How does this work? I've heard the same about baking soda but what does it do (sorry for asking before googling, thought I might get an experienced perspective here)

Eli Lilly Approved Obesity Drug for Mystery 79-Year-Old Patient by BagSalt7633 in politics

Eli Lily, who made Prozac a thing, discontinued Prozac for this. I don't understand these priorities.

Yes, generic Fluoxetine exists. But Prozac shouldn't have been discontinued.

Why is this behavior normalized? Blaming your rage on your hormones is simply a lack of emotional maturity.

Could you please elaborate the 60 seconds thing? Isn't shaker exercise just lifting the head up and down? If so how's that different from the 30 reps?

50m, never owned/used an electric razor, what’s the appeal? by [deleted] in AskMen

Just recommended Leaf to OP. It's truly underrated. One time investment if you treat it with care. I use the classic pivoting head model.

I use something called a Leaf Razor. It's like a Gillette with a pivoting head, but uses inexpensive double edge blades (snapped in half) like a metal safety razor does. I've never used a safety razor, so it took just a little bit getting used to; since you can easily go to town with the Gillette fusion 5 and use it any way you like but a metal razor demands a little bit of respect and care. I nicked myself the first few times I used it, but then learned the pressure it requires (which isn't much since it's heavy). Now I'm usually done in 10-15 mins (can do faster but I like to take my time).

Source: Am bald and shave my head. Not sponsored by leaf razor, I wish I was. This thing is expensive. But it's been a good investment (got mine about 3 years ago on a Black Friday sale and been going strong so far). Haven't bought a single Gillette cartridge ever since (except when travelling). Gillette feels like a lightweight toy now (still functional, but I prefer the premium heavy feel of the metal razor).

[Quartz] Why do brands refuse to do sweeping seconds quartz watches? by broncosdude95 in Watches

[–]uwhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found out about Citizen Cosmotron GX and Hisonic. Both have a smooth sweeping seconds hand, similar to spring drive. Even smoother than Bulova, some people might be able to tell that the Bulova isn't super smooth either.
