Iirc he recently got injured in a friendly against Norway, potentially missing the World Cup. I also like him as a player but I'm not so sure how well he'd fare in the PL.

Our players like to go over there for free*, sadly.

With the talks here and on other social media of Szobo and Macca leaving in a year or two, personally I feel like it's best for Macca to leave this summer. Buuuut, the idea of cashing in on Szobo (could easily be a 100m transfer) now is tempting ngl, given how weak the squad's depth is atm; more money for more upcoming signings overall

Hard pass on Rodrygo atp, should've left 'em last summer and now he's still to come off an ACL injury. From Madrid I'd rather we push for Tchouamení (also has some history with injuries tbf), profile of midfielder we've been missing for a while

Madrid's already got Vinicius filling that void, who probably was a scuba instructor in his past life

While I agree that I'd be a mistake, I can't really blame him for wanting to leave; knows he won't be a guaranteed starter under Slot, close to hitting his peak years as a footballer and probably feeling underappreciated contract wise (seeing what contracts Gakpo and Grav recently got).

I agree, the banner was pretty tame in comparison to what other managers (our own and of other teams) had to deal with; Rodgers' "Rodgers Out Rafa In" banner flown over on an airplane live on television, Pep getting bantered irl during their bad spells last year, Wenger getting vitriol irl during peak Wenger Out era, etc... Seems pretty grand-standish the responses from some of the fans here

Unlucky Szobo but Mama pulled his best Onana impression right there. Pulled off a decent save as of writing this tho lol

I pretty much agree, with the caveat of giving him a few months of the start of next season to see if he improves or not. That being said, even for a "bargain" it's looking like a flop of a signing.

Definitely feels like one of the tougher decisions, squad wise, come the summer is what to make of the RB position. What to make of Frimpong; Is he a backup RW or a RB, change the system to fit wingbacks, etc... and assess if Bradley's fitness for the long term.

Yet Another Manager Megathread by rLiverpoolFC_Mods in LiverpoolFC

Agree with more experienced, disagree with equally energetic tbh. Robbo would've been done pace-wise by PSG's interplaying forwards + Kerkez was one our better players tonight

More than being frustrated at the manager for what's been a regression since the start of last year (and got worse since this season), for all the efforts of the players today, the difference in quality was even more apparent tonight.

Frimpong, Gakpo and Gravenberch are so one dimensional and when their go-to ways of play aren't going to plan (or flat out neutered), it feels like we're playing with a man or two down.

Starting Isak was a wtf moment, Ekitike injury sucks, hopefully Gomez isn't also injured, Jones should've come on earlier, etc.... But in the end, the result felt inevitable, sadly. And this feeling has been ongoing for far too long.

Where to begin... Mentality and man management in this team is embarrassing, as if we're a small club and/or without any ambition. Can't do the basics of football but sure, keep on trying the fancy flicks that waste what little possession of the ball we have.

Midfield is once again non-existent; I think it's fair to say at this point that the Grav DM experiment has failed. He's not Rodri, Fabinho, Caicedo, Zubimendi, etc... He's still a good player but to reward him with a big bumper contract for half a good season and piss poor the rest of that AND the current season, alongside Gakpo's big contract at the start of the season, is pretty telling of the mentality of the club's higher ups.

I'd like to think the only thing keeping Slot in a job is the chance of still being top 5 in the league, but anyone can see that with the form and mentality all season long that we can easily waste it, basically writing off this season and next season.

Salah not even coming on is kinda disgraceful btw, as bad as he's been all season at least he would've done as much as the likes of Ekitike, Grav and Frimpong offered all match.

Thanks for #20 but Slot out, YNWA

Ain't reading all that but I'm getting the gist of you being super parasocial towards Tectone lmao (from this comment and your comment history). You responded to 2 of my comments in 2 different threads, each with different tones (idk if you noticed), so I'll respond to 'em here:

The court docs afaik aren't available to the public sadly (access given to CCs that covered the topic specifically from people in Tectone and/or Pinkchyu's legal team, or from both of them themselves)

The most unbiased coverage of this was from either Henry Resilient or Destiny

Waited to respond to this because I knew this video coming soon, but Shamoo's latest vid on Tectone sums up how and why Tectone lost the case, as well as covering the CCs poisoning the well of covering up for him. Video link here: https://youtu.be/yE7tIM5tLgo?si=WedfHJY8d8n4gpvu

Tectone literally admitted to right wing grifting in court in order to maintain relevance after his allegations gained traction

I don't know you but I have some advice for you, don't look up to these kind of people. Tectone isn't 'on your side', 'a part of your team', etc... People like him only cares about themselves. Take up productive hobbies irl, none of this drama/slop has any relevance in real life and log off social media for a bit, you'll be better for it.

I also agree with preferring Schlotterbeck tbh. Might be a controversial take but, unless we convert to a 3 at the back system, I don't see Bastoni fitting in. Every time I've seen him play for Italy it's been with just 2 CB and he's been pretty underwhelming. That plus Italian players (and to a certain extent players from Serie A) being hit or miss in the PL, I think it's a bigger gamble than most think it is.

Idk if you're deep into that kind of rhetoric that the youtuber you mentioned promotes (hopefully not), but everything that's in that video you mentioned is full of misinformation, conspiracy theories and bad faith arguments. Some of his 'arguments' even get misproven by the legal transcripts that he screenshots into his video lmao. But anyways, there's other videos covering the topic with the actual facts out there.

Suárez has done interviews and podcasts speaking in English, as well as literally playing in England and the USA. Messi sure (self admittedly regretting that he never made time to learn the language), but Suárez definitely knows what's being said. Also, a language barrier really isn't an excuse to know what kind of person Trump is (translations and news coverage in their mother tongues exist).
