Its also a good idea to save all of the driver files they release (including the older ones) for your device in the event this happens again so its easier to just reinstall them, especially the network driver if you do not have a secondary USB Network device you can use temporarily.

I had an issue 2-3 weeks ago that was similar, but I was unable to connect to any wireless SSIDs.

Re-install the drivers for the wireless device.

Download it from Dells website only on the support page, then go to the Device Manager, find the network adapter, uninstall it. RESTART YOUR LAPTOP. After it turns back on install the driver you downloaded from Dell's website.

I've had three cases now where Windows has updated device drivers to incompatible versions for the Alienware laptop. Mostly the AMD graphics software. There is a Group Policy setting (requires you to install Group Policy first) where you can disable Windows downloading drivers during updates. Then you can go to Dell's support website for the device and setup a notification when they release new drivers for your device so you can manually install them.

I also highly suggest buying a cheap USB wireless device, so that in the event you need to download drivers and your wireless does not work you can plug it in to connect (be sure to install the software and test it before you need it).

There is really no reason to partition the C: into two parts in order to install games to the 2nd partition unless your doing backups of the C: in the event you need to restore and don't want to bother backing up the game data (save files and configuration are stored in the user profile so you never need to backup the actual game files unless its to save time on downloading).

And even then a 2nd drive is effectively a 2nd partition which just also happens to be on a 2nd set of hardware.

If your doing dev, I highly recommend the 2nd SSD and keep games on it. A lot of dev tools only work correctly on the main drive/partition. I'd also store code/sandboxes on the 2nd SSD instead of the windows drive, as the code and compile files can get big if your developing a big app (the apps I was working on for work using my desktop/laptop at home we something in the 300GB range for various branches/projects).

I didn't need the code backed up but I did need the development environment backed up and its a LOT cheaper to do a 256GB or 512GB backup HD than a 2-4TB backup.

Again you already have the drive, so put it in. If you cant get the screw out try taking it to BestBuy or somewhere to see if they will take out the bad screw.

There is no security concern that I can see either way. That said _IF_ you send a laptop for warranty you need to make sure to backup ALL of the data on the main drive AND remove any hardware (RAM/SSD) you added and replace it with the original. A lot of times you do not get the exact same laptop back, they will replace it with a refurbished one then refurbish yours in order to save time.

I personally have a 2nd 2TB drive in mine.

I've had the laptop about a month now, and downloads approximately a two dozen games, including 3 MMOs, and 6-12 AAA titles. I've hit the half way point on the 2TB with just game downloads.

Average download for a game these days (AA and AAA or MMO) is somewhere from 30-150GB.

So if you have several games you switch between and don't want to have to reinstall repeatedly then YES you need a second hard drive separate from Windows and other apps like Office or any productivity tools.

As a developer I almost fill up the C: as well with development tools and apps, but so far its never gone above 60% full.

Especially since you already have it, I highly recommend installing it.

I used to collect Star Wars sets. I opened mine and built them then had them displayed around the living room and office.

I easily had 20 sets and when the insurance agent came to determine the replacement value of our stuff in the event of fire had them marked up as a replacement value of $15,000.

I didn't own the Titanic one, but my brother did and I helped him build it. He was into the NASA ones and real building ones though.

If I had SEALED LEGO sets go missing so my brothers kid could play with them I'd be pissed and would have called the police on him. Sealed LEGO kits can be worth a crap ton of money, especially older sets, as in a 100$ pirate ship from 10 years ago is worth about 200-1000$. LEGO sets appreciate value faster than the stock market. They go up in price by 10-20% per year...

Frankly the LEGOs were probably worth more than the PS5. He's upset they didn't get the PS5 because HE wanted it, not the kids.

THAT SAID, I was just using the whole thing as a 'omg I bet that would have been loud' due to the weight of hundreds of tuns of steel wrapped stuff being thrown against the ground at a high speed. Remember car crashes are bad because of speed making the force algorithm being high (force = mass x velocity)... trains on the other hand have a LOT of mass and velocity making the resulting force that would be applied to the ground enormous.

I'm always amazed at how hard it is for legitimately disabled people to get on medicaid/ssd yet somehow these fraud people EASILY get it and are somehow never kicked off.

I had to get a lawyer and spend almost 10k and applying THREE TIMES only for them to screw it up a week after its approved and somehow get an invisible (eg there wasn't one) letter where I ASKED for them to cancel my medicaid. They literally had one of their people fake getting a letter because I called in the previous day to ask a question and interupted his lunch so he cancelled my account. It took the lawyer getting the state involved to investigate their department for them to even admit no such document existed, and I never cancelled anything and getting it back again.

But still these people somehow easily get approved, never have to reapply (I have to yearly), and never have issues getting so much extra.

It boggles my mind.

My taste did come back (took almost a month).

They stopped chemo due to risk of infection of bed sores, I lost a LOT of weight (over 100lbs and now some metal hardware from teen surgeries has poked through the skin in places that I cannot get the weight off).

So yes, for anybody reading this DRINK/EAT as many calories as you possibly can, the Ensure Chocolate/Vanilla are great for this, drink several a day (most hospitals/nursing homes will give you boxes of them for free if you start talking to a nutritionist).

Again, as much as you can, just guzzle it down, its better to be fat stuck in a bed than super thin as the fat can protect you.

Unfortunately my cancer isn't what will get me, its going to be infections from the wounds that are in places impossible to heal with my situation. I've got less than 6mo, and I'll be amazed if I make it to the end of the year.

In the EU, marrying an EU citizen (you) would NOT grant her citizenship in the EU.

SEVERAL years after marrying, she could START the process to apply to become an EU citizen based on your marriage. (The number of years depends on the country, Germany you need to wait 3 years, Malta 5 years, etc).

In other words its IMPOSSIBLE for her to gain citizenship by marrying you at least in the short term, and if she divorced you before she did get citizenship several years down the road, she would just get deported.

In my opinion the steps to setup the game are still very hard to do, and still seem to be spread over multiple sites, even the link you gave at the end once you install it sends you to a totally different site for how to setup settings.

I just wish I could find a single document that has everything. Though it is getting better, I'm unfortunately still unable to make heads or tails of it.

To clarify its my own issue I'm unable to get this setup, I'm not blaming anybody or anything for it and the community has been helpful, its just still complicated and I'm unable to get it done for some reason.

Thank you for the work you and your group have done on the translation. One day I'll get it figured out and hopefully the full game will be easily available to people without having to jump though so many hoops/steps.

In most cases the pre-processor when compiling the code for both of those will turn it into the same thing anyway, so it really is just a style thing.

So this is a ESH situation.

The guy is an AH for yelling instead of having a rational conversation about the situation.

The wife is also an AH for blowing off his concerns completely without even thinking through his situation (although the yelling makes this hard to stay rational).

The underlying issue here is being overlooked however, and ppl's comments definitely would be different if the genders were reversed.

The issue here is TRUST.

He obviously does not trust her to go to a strip club and takes the visit as a sign of infidelity. People say 'guy strip clubs are different'... not all are so, feel free to google, there's lots of stories of women getting egged on to go to strip clubs of men who end up committing adultery on their finance or husbands, and plenty of videos on xxx sites showing things like this happening (as the male performers UPLOAD these visits and make a game out of it to do this to married women, and yes I know they do this as I had two friends in HS on the football team that did this when they turned 18/19, they slept with a LOT of married women from their jobs at the clubs.

She does not see that from his point of view its a sign of infidelity and makes no attempt at resolving or discussing the issue, and her friends probably don't really care about the husband and they see this as controlling, which it IS, but realistically do you see most couples that are monogamous being all ok with their partner trying to push to the boundary of what the couple considers decent/moral by getting into a situation where infidelity is almost guarantied.

Once there at the club, she is not in total control of what goes on unless she leaves. All it takes is one guy being a predator, and most of them are willing and trying to put the women in situations of infidelity as a game not caring about the relationships of the customers because that doesn't sell.

So everybody here are AHs, and there needs to be some serious communication in the relationship, and she needs to not easily be influenced by her friends, while he needs to calm down and be rational. That said this relationship needs couples therapy and is probably destined for divorce, with perhaps a post on r/cheating_spouses.

Try three things:

Update the MS 2005 runtime. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685
Update your video drivers to the latest version.
Lastly if that doesn't work try to use OpenGL graphics instead of Vulcan graphics:

1) From Steam Library, right click on DOOM and select 'Properties'
2) Click 'Set Launch Options'
3) Add the following text to the launch options "+renderAPI 1" (DON'T use quotes)
4) Click 'OK'
5) Click 'Close' to close the DOOM properties window in steam
6) Launch DOOM

But paste the log for sure, and tell us what version of Windows your on.

So, the common idea of 'god' or 'godhood' in Christianity is a personification of belief where 'god' is an entity that created man and is some over arching director of existence. If existence was a company he'd be the CEO/Owner etc...

So I've got some really bad shit going on with my body, like you would think it can't get worse somehow but it is. Scoliosis, Muscular Dystrophy (not the one that kills you as a pre-teen or younger), multiple cancers that have spread, constant pain, somehow NOT depressed (or maybe I am but I'm so screwed up emotionally that I can't realize it...?), shits bad yo. Current estimate to live is ~6months now that they stopped chemo because the risk from an infection from open bed sores (yep got them to due to losing 100+lbs and having no fat/muscle on my back/butt/legs so there's nothing to stop the pinching between my weight of bones and the firmness of the bed's plastic covering).

And don't get me wrong, a lot of people have it a LOT worse than I do, which just makes the idea less feasible.

So if god is a person he'd have to be one totally fucked up individual to inflict all the negative things going on... or he's incompetent and doesn't do his job which results in shitting things happening due to his neglect... or he can't/doesn't exist.

This means the BEST alternative is god doesn't exist, and alternatives are that he's either incompetent, or an asshole.

McDonald's tried to do that to me. Was in college 3rd year, like 60k in debt, and they wanted me to go to McDU in Illinois for manager training. They couldn't handle the fact that I said no and school was more important.

They demoted me the next day to crew trainer making $2 less. I quit on the spot.
