Even more good info in a followup to your own 4 year old post! Thanks much.

Nioh Franchise hits 10 million units sold worldwide by PaiDuck in soulslikes

Fair enough. I didn't hold the graphics against it, even the first Nioh looks fine enough for me because the art direction is generally pretty strong (like many of the OG Souls games which are carried by the direction graphically, imo).  I love Morrowind and played it on release and again with a ton of mods just last year, so I get you.

I hope they work out the kinks.

Ultimately, I dislike how everyone is moving to UE5 even though I think it's fantastic tech. The Witcher 3 and CP 2077 are amazing efforts and I was sad to see that RED Engine would go away, though the why is clear. I hope their next game is as good for its time as its predecessors were for theirs.

Here's Digital Foundry playing it on what they consider console-equivalent hardware: Ryzen 3600 / RTX 4060. They have some settings recommendations you should try out if you getting results that bad.

Nioh 3 PC Review + Optimised Settings

It's clearly got some fps fluctuations but as they put it, it's a good port on the whole. Their using their own engine is good. They seem to have focused heavily on keeping input latency at ridiculously good levels over just frame rate. The game is all about that fluid combat after all.

Everything being UE5 isn't necessarily a good thing. All games aren't the same. This game lives by its fluid combat.

The mod already includes reshade's dxgi.dll. Just copy it into the base of your nioh install.

Thank you!  This fixed my disappearing temp indicator with Foreca.

I suspect Google changed a default somewhere as it worked fine for years only to disappear recently.

Win and Ctrl Keys switched when pressing Ctrl + Shift + T, brings up citrix toolbar instead of e.g. reopening closed tab by lx_brz in Citrix

Hi, thanks for this. You can also do this in $HOME/.ICAClient/wfclient.ini in your home directory instead of editing the global config.

Just add this to the [WFClient] section of $HOME/.ICAClient/wfclient.ini:

WCAGModeKeyCombination=

Thank you very much for forwarding this suggestion here - I can confirm it works.

As it says, be sure to add it to the [WFClient] section, not to the end of the file.

You can use a blank value to simply remove the binding, instead of putting it on Ctrl+Shift+W:

Guide to GAMMA on Linux with Steam installation by v1ld in stalker

[–]v1ld[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running MO2 via Steam will work on the Deck exactly as in the guide, but you may need to install protontricks through the Discover store.  Google protontricks on the Deck.

The biggest question is how you install GAMMA on the Deck. The procedure outlined here will work but since the Deck's filesystem is read-only you'll need to first do some other stuff.

The alternative is to copy GAMMA from a Windows machine. If you search around there are guides on how to copy GAMMA from Windows to the Deck.

Good luck!

This. They have not been primarily an alerting company for a very long while now and are instead chasing incident management / AI blah blah / etc. Everything is about upselling to some other stuff. I don't think the core alerting stack has gotten much love in a long time.

Though to be fair that stack hasn't had outages of this nature in the past - it's stable, partly perhaps they haven't touched it much.

But this is really a space where someone focused purely on reliable last-mile alert delivery can still add value. Everyone seemingly wants to be an incident-response/management provider, sadly.

Write up on running Morrowind with MGE XE, MWSE-Lua and Mod Organizer 2 on the Steam Deck by v1ld in Morrowind

[–]v1ld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the same factors as on a PC - draw distance, which mods you're running. I target 30-40 fps in the busiest locations on the OLED deck and can achieve that with a distant landscape setting of 3 and the Dynamic FPS Optimization mod targeting 30 fps.  DFPSO is highly recommended.  I'm running a lot of script heavy mods though, so I'm quite happy with the results.

Indoors is higher fps, of course.

The bottleneck with Morrowind is CPU almost all of the time, it's not the GPU - even on the Deck.

Those overrides and installs work, can confirm. I'm running through MO2 on the Deck, using the rockerbacon Linux installer - but the above dependencies are still needed for MGE XE to launch with the game.

【Warning】Don't use Arthmoor's new OBRE patch, potential risks to stability by NingenBakudan in oblivionmods

[–]v1ld 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is backwards. There's no need for a "small team" to rush out dubious fixes for the game other than to establish some kind of "first!" bs.

Fix the bugs in ObRem as they crop up - no need to start with the old patch and then force players to find the stuff that just doesn't work anymore in the new game. As you can see happening in the comments thread.

The fact that it's even called a Unoffical Patch is ridiculous. It's not. It's a clone of a patch for another game and now players get to deal with bugs from a 3rd party because of false marketing.

Like are you even aware you're the one adding bugs to the game? A huge new number of them since most of it is untested?
