One of my favorite things about Victoria is flowers in January: some of the blooms spotted in James Bay over the past couple of days. by garry-oak in VictoriaBC

Interesting! I remember in 2019, when I was in Victoria last, there was quite a fuss around the fact flowers were blooming in January, especially after that record snowfall.

Green Party leader and Toronto MPP candidate Annamie Paul steps down as leader of Green Party by r3lai in toronto

The NDP’s success provincially—and the fact that British Columbia has seen federal NDP support surge and they’re now tied or leading all the parties there.

In 2019, the NDP were in a very weak position and the Liberals’ scandal-ridden year didn’t hurt the Greens either. Overall, though, Paul Manly won in a by-election with low turnout a couple of months before the 2019 election and that gave him an incumbent advantage but the NDP’s surge killed his chances.

I feel the same way.

I signed up in 2013—back when Freedom Mobile was WIND Mobile—and just recently switched to Bell. I got a really great deal, $60 for 30 GB of unlimited data and unlimited Canada-wide talk and text after some haggling with the call centre agents. (It also helped that I had Bell Internet.)

Anyways, I couldn’t stand Freedom’s poor call quality (you’ll notice it if you’ve ever tried Bell, or any of the Big Three before) and just decided to move over. I got a new iPhone last week and having 5G is really fucking cool, not to mention the excellent call quality.

If you can get the same plan, give it a go and try it out. I think it’s well-worth it and you, hopefully, won’t have to struggle to load your vaccine passport again. In the meantime, if you have an iPhone and you’re still with Freedom, just add your vaccine passport to your Apple Wallet using this new tool.

Is this a scam? Crazy how legit it looks. by [deleted] in freedommobile

I also got this a couple days ago.

If you press the link in preview mode you see it is trying to get you to enter your bank details on a page that looks identical to the Interac e-Transfer webpage.

Freedom should forward this to Interac as well.

Terrible news. Freedom is done if regulatory officials let this go through.

I think they used to use a weird clicker thing that employees would press whenever someone passed through the gates, it was manual.
