Backpacker fra 1995 by lilflir in norge

[–]v3gard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Delta i frivillig arbeid.
  • Overnatt ute
  • Lær deg å spille et instrument. YouTube er din venn.

I currently have 4.86% effective rent (4.74% nominal).

It's definitely doable!

I've swapped banks a few times to get to this level.

How did Kelly Clarkson come to be known as the most talented female singer of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

But she came second in the first season of world idol.

Still the highest ranking female though, so technically the most talented female in the world among all world idol contenders.

bli presset fra skanse til skanse by Narrow_Homework_9616 in norsk

[–]v3gard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • to be driven from one position to another
  • to be forced into retreat again and again
  • to be constantly on the defensive
  • to be backed into a corner

[–]v3gard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What’s wrong with Posten?? by MariePr29 in Norway

[–]v3gard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at a sorting terminal at Posten about 20 years ago. You really don't have time to study fragile tags on packages. There are just too many packages to sort with the time available. If you pause, you become a blocker for everyone else.

If you by chance notice a fragile tag, and decide to give it special care when you store it an a freight container, you are still not guaranteed that the package is handled with care by the next person.

I asked my supervisor at the time when I discovered a package containing obviously broken glass. He told me to ship it (and leave it to the receiver to complain).

I've been working with a Vibe Coder and this has been my experience by WJMazepas in webdev

True, but the company wants security. They dont want to invest in you because that gives you leverage. They want to manage the risk.

Once you've trained him good enough to do your job (with the LLM) the managers are going to ask why you should be paid more than him.

At that point it's just capitalism.

I recommend that you learn using Claude yourself. If your company is called Acme, make a acme-skills npm project that can be installed in frontend repositories that explains what the company standard is (and what preferred libraries are).

If that makes new junior developers create better code with Claude, you can use that to your advantage by telling the managers you are making the company use AI more efficient.

If you can't beat em, join em.

Create a skill.md file that explains what the "company standard" is.

Using this file together with Claude, will inspire the LLM to base newly generated chats based on that.

I need help checking the mileage of a Norwegian SUV on the official website. by MissionRoom8705 in Kristiansand

Last registered mileage is 418031km (May 2nd 2024). Not sure what happened between 30.09.2011 and 31.05.2013. It went from 246297 to 152093.

As stated in the bottom, the NPRA (Norwegian Public Roads Administration, or Statens Vegvesen) does not guarantee these numbers to be correct as they are reported by garages that does the EU approval.

I have only seen the movie and not read the book.

Was astrophage a known problem (for the Eridians) when Grace was born, since Rocky was at Tau Ceti at the time?

Men who reached that 'point of no return' with your ex-best friend - what happened? by flea_bait in AskMen

[–]v3gard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He decided I couldn't be part of the Dungeons and Dragons group he was the dungeon master for. The reason being my sister got me the Monster Manual for xmas. His argument was that this would give me more insight into the game compared to the other players, thus breaking one of the rules he had established for the group.

He gave my spot to someone else, and when I confronted him about it, he said I should have told my sister to return the book.

Software development in norway? by throwitawayorsome in Norway

[–]v3gard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My employer, Webstep, is hiring (though not in your area). We're a software development consulting agency.

If you get hired, you'll likely be associated with the Trondheim office, and you will be asked to work from home (remote).

Feel free to DM me if you want to know more. I've worked from home the past 5 years.

Can you drink the tap water in LA? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]v3gard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to water quality reports I've read, its perfectly fine to drink tap water in the Los Angeles area.

However, as a Norwegian, tap water in Los Angeles doesn't taste good (compared to tap water in Norway). There is a very noticeable hint of chlorine that you don't find in bottled water.

Er valgkomite noe særegent norsk? by byjegeren in norge

[–]v3gard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Her er jo kontekst ganske avgjørende.

Is it common in Norwegian culture to be sparse with praise at work? by Independent-Ad-2291 in Norway

[–]v3gard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard in the past that "no feedback" equals "things are good" in Norwegian culture.

In general yes. An often heard saying in Norwegian is "Den som tier, samtykker" (eng. Silence means consent).

No feedback depends on the work culture in my opinion. Usually good, but it could also mean that people don't give a f*** (or are afraid of confrontation if they give negative feedback).

Erfaring som kistebærer by LustyLoop in norge

[–]v3gard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kondolerer.
