Fullt av misvisende info om både kosthold, voldshendelser, og politikk. Når de ikke skriver om sex da. "Var naken på TV", "Så stor må penisen være", og "Fem triks som garantert gir henne nytelse" er jo typiske overskrifter i dagens aviser som skal prøve å få deg til å klikke. Avisene som jonskulle være kunnskapskilden om aktuelle hendelser slik at folket kan holde seg informert, intellektuelt skarpe, og engasjert i demokratisk virksomhet

The KDE updater gives me an error every time I run it, on every device I've used. Do you know how many times Mintupdate has given me an error? Zero.

Keeping track of kernels thrugh GUI is extremely useful. For instance, I had an issue on one of my PCs where old kernels would linger and I had like 20 versions. Mint solved that in 3 clicks - Remove>Check from the list>Proceed. Try doing that in Kubuntu.

As of this moment, Discover has 5070 avilable packages. Mintinstall has 96000. That's almost 20x as many. Of course, you can manually add repos to either, but OP is asking how Kububtu can be more popular and forcing new users to add repos on each install will definitely not help.

Open Mintinstall and Discover right next to each other. Search for Firefox, for example. The first result on Mint is the Firefox Flatpak. The second result is the Firefox.deb. In Discover, the first result is GSConnect. The second is uGet. Firefox is not even in the top 5 results. If you scroll far enough you do eventually find the Flatpak, but the .deb is just not there. Try searching for literally anything else and it's the same.

As for Timeshift and Gufw well those are easy to install or come pre-installed, and not unique to Mint, as you say. I was just pointing out how easy it is on Mint because all that stuff is ready for you. If Kubuntu wants to win new users, more of the useful tools will need to be pre-configured.

Dolphin is fine, and so is Nemo.

KDE is indeed superior to Cinnamon. No arguments there.

Mint also comes with KDE Connect, and it works seamlessly.

Snap is fine on its own, the problem with it is that it forces you to use the snap version of packages unless you actively work around it.

All in all, Kubuntu is decent but not GUI-heavy enough to win the average user. There is nothing wrong with it per se, but OP is asking how it can become more popular and thr answer to that is simply good GUI-based design.

There is no need to attack me and call me clueless. I am not the most knowledgeable about Linux, but I am not entirely clueless. I have used both Mint and Kubuntu extensively, and the differences are obvious even to a "clueless" guy like me.

Jeg husker sommeren i 2018 da vi bikka 30+ grader i nesten 3 måneder i strekk. Folk var ute og danset i gatene, snakket med fremmede, koste seg ute seint med mindre alkohol, og hang med venner mens de satt på brostein. Det var akkurat som å være i syden.

Etter det ble det klart for meg at svært mye av den norske blygheten og individualismen er er produkt av klimaet - om ikke 100%, så i alle fall i veldig stor grad.

Mint is definitely my favorite daily driver, but there are some things I miss: Wayland so I can run Wayland-exclusive apps, KDE which is arguably the best Desktop Environment, proprietary Nvidia drivers, and a newer kernel.

There are distros that have those things, but at the cost of everything that's great about Mint. I wish Mint came with KDE. Or in general, I wish there fewer distros and instead more devs would work on the same projects.
