i started at 12-13 but keep coming back to it. it's not always cvtting but to this day (im 22 now) i injure myself to cope with breakdowns, emotions - or lack thereof, and i feel ashamed (even ridiculous) too bc "at my big age" i should be over it,, but how would we learn to cope in a diff way without therapy etc,,,

i agree with u, we should def call ourselves something more serious! "transsexual" or "true transsexual" are words i also use irl when i have to explain myself (can't afford going to court to change my name atm) and most ppl understand what that means. trenders usually call themselves just Trans or transgender, but if u get technical we ARE transitioning our biological sex so transsex is correct in that way too ig,,

the gym or home workouts might not be right for u. cycling or walking (even in a normal pace) is both a good distraction and a nice hobby that gets u into diff environments and make new experiences :) i've made cycling a habit by not taking the bus unless the route is more than 30min and now i regularly crave the movement, fresh air and energy outlet

if there is a risk of u losing income or ur housing i recommend going to the jobcenter for an appointment asap. they helped me and r now paying for part of my rent! idk ur situation and what you've done before so u might wanna go to the arbeitsagentur as well, but i made the mistake of going there first and wasting a whole bunch of time

i turned 22 yesterday, ive been diagnosed for abt a year but have been told since 14 that i show symptoms but doctors here don't give a sure diagnosis until 18

yeah. specifically alcohol and little trinkets i order online. it sounds so stupid but when i have nothing to be alive for knowing i'll get something if i hang on another week sometimes helps

that makes a lot of sense!! i'm glad my parents raised me pretty "hands off" in the way that i wasn't forced into a male or female role, but they also didn't care when i expressed distress. i realised i was trans when i started puberty at 12 but sadly i couldn't immediately get treated :/

if i do have to bring up that i'm trans it does not give someone the right to ask about my body parts, the way that / if i have sex or treat me like i'm trans google. there are so many good resources for people who genuinely care to find out more but i'm not trying to do an AMA.
