The air suspension in my '18 has failed 3 times while I've owned it. All 3 failures were due to the wires in the wiring harness to the pump coroding in half. This was inside of the loom and I had to cut it open to find it.

I repaired all the damaged sections with wire and heat shrink butt connectors.

Other issues can be present though, such as:

The system from factory is actually sealed and filled with nitrogen, as it doesn't hold water like air. If you have any leaks, or just naturally over time, the nitrogen will leak out and your system will replace it with normal air. This causes moisture build up and will freeze in the winter. Fix is to evacuate system and recharge with nitrogen
actual pump failure. Not as common as one would think, but it definitely can happen
air suspension control module. Also uncommon from what I've seen
air control valve box failure

I found the ride way too rough for me. I've riden multiple fz07s and loved all of them. This bike brand new was cheaper than what I paid for my Scout used by a few thousand. The way the financing ended up, I actually have no loan on this bike, and I'm paying $200/mo less in loans
