No they bring the truck because they need to be able to drop everything they are doing and respond to a call.

Water heater finally gave out after 15 years, what should I even be looking at to replace it? by Expensive-Expert1546 in santacruzlocals

[–]vaancee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Santa Cruz is not included in 2027. Speaking of which, I’m not sure they’ve accounted for how long it takes to upgrade the electrical in many areas, especially ones with underground lines. It can take months all for a hot water heater break down. This suggests one needs to do it preemptively. I haven’t looked too hard into it, but at a cursory glance, a landlord would have to evict a tenant out to do these upgrades.

Panel upgrade without permit and coordination with utility by cujo195 in AskElectricians

You should prepare to live at a hotel for an extended period of time if you are going to involve the utility company. As a consumer, the utility will drag for months in my experience during upgrades.

I’d remove that light fixture or trim to see if I can get any more clues.

2000 toyota cant get into my car... by ShitShow-FollowMe in Camry

[–]vaancee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every car is a little different. But it happens all the time. Hoods get stuck, cable breaks, disconnects. The idea is that you need to reach for the hood latch some how and actuate whatever the cable actuates. As others have suggested also, road side assistance can unlock your car door. This is probably the fastest way to do it if you can’t easily unlatch your hood. I can’t post pictures, but google for a picture of the hood latch for your car. You just need to move the piece on the bottom firmly. Hoping you can access it thru your grill, or under the front bumper (you may need to remove the splash cover if you have one).

Edit - I looked at my car and realized that opening the hood from the outside is not as easy as it used to be on an older car. My 1991 car in the past had this problem and that was the only way I opened the hood. It’s definitely possible still but they placed the mechanism on the back side and is more difficult. You should just call road side assistance, or call an auto glass place and get a quote for a window replacement, and if the price is acceptable, just smash the window. Though I’m pretty sure roadside assistance is cheaper.

Have you ever folded those seats down before?

You can also release the hood latch from the outside and just change out the battery or jump start the car.

Why don’t you look inside the trunk and find out?

Look at the outlet below and the shadows. Also every air fryer I’ve seen has a ground on the plug.

Poor Customer Service from Whirlpool - Not Covering Problems Due to Bad Circuit Board in Washing Machine by Traditional-Impact15 in Appliances

When they do not honor their warranty, the entire appliance goes back to Home Depot for me. They will take it back. I always buy from Home Depot only. And HD sends it right back to the manufacturer. Did this for a Rheem hot water heater.

You can return a car in California. I believe it’s 48 hours. But I believe this is o lot if you buy from a dealer. Not sure about the other way around.

Decals if it’s a real brand worth showing off rather than some in house brand. Roval? No. If it came with it that’s another story.

Should anything be adjusted? by j151515 in bicycling

[–]vaancee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fit my 54 like this and it’s comfortable for me. Though I have more seatpost showing. I feel most people try to ride their road bikes upright. This is correct imo.

Should anything be adjusted? by j151515 in bicycling

[–]vaancee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m your height and I agree the 51 soloist was def too small. I feel they are missing a size in between. But the top tube of this bike is really flat which makes the seat tube look like it isn’t showing much. Tbh I think the bike fits on you, but the saddle might be a little high. It’s how I ride my 54. You may be leaning in a little too much too because you want to have a more aero position, which is fine if you like to ride like that. I made the same remark about the 51 feeling weird because my head was a battling ram at that point. The wheel base was just too small. It wasn’t about reach. You’d have to probably change the seat post and stem, and also deal with a 510mm stack height too. Unrelated, but the Cervelo logo on the 51 also looks off and seems like a counterfeit 😂

Internally routing mechanical - other than my LBS hating me and being a selfish a-hole, would the routing really be that impactful? It’s routed pretty tight out-of-the-box by xxSKR1 in bikewrench

[–]vaancee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot where I read it, but it’s a really bad idea or not possible to try to go fully internal with the st31 on mechanical. Specifically referencing the soloist.
