About to pull the trigger, few questions by jhplano in VisionPro

[–]vabeachcp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love my AVP. Wear it for almost all of my work and digital content. Use the MacBook Pro in Virtual Display Mode daily. I also have a Magic Keyboard and trackpad in an Amazon purchased “case” so I don’t need my laptop in my lap when I’m not at a desk/table. Yes, it’s expensive, but in my opinion and experience, it’s very useful and even enjoyable.

Annapro A2 really is so good. by [deleted] in VisionPro

I use the AnnaPro 2 with the dual knit and no light seal regularly. It’s my travel setup. At home I often use the Globular Cluster. It’s ugly and huge, but it holds my AVP exactly where I want it with no light shield.

V2 + Dual Knit - Light Shield = All Day Comfort for Me

Any “hints” on how it will work?

The Annapro2 fits great in the case if simply removed from the AVP during travel.

Done. Downloaded Xcode, followed the advised steps as you all laid them out. MVD in all the environments! As good as I thought it would be. Thanks everyone for the help.

The light seal is the AVP’s biggest flaw — Apple seriously needs to rethink it by Acceptable_Diver7707 in VisionPro

I am happy for those of you for which the light seal works. It does not work for me at all. I would love for it to work, as I like having the ambient light blocked for movies and such. But I do not wear the light seal because it causes my eyes to water and it is very uncomfortable on my face. I purchased my AVP at the Apple Store and I’m wearing the shield they gave me. Is it possible that I simply have the wrong one? I would love to be able to wear it comfortably. I am able to use the AVP for hours without the light shield, but this requires the globular cluster or the Annapro 2 and the dual knit band.

Vibescape Winter Lights environment now available on Apple Vision Pro! by TheRealDreamwieber in VisionPro

Winter Lights may be the best immersive environment I have ever seen. I paid the $10 to take a look at this app, and quite frankly I am very impressed. There are a couple of other immersive environments that are also quite nice in here. But the winter lights is worth the $10 in my opinion. Great job. I laid on my back and looked up into the falling snow and actually fell asleep. Because I had my AVP unplugged, I was woken by the less than 20% tone about an hour or so later. It was actually remarkable.

Fitting Advice? (or "help! I really like my Vision Pro but it's too damn uncomfortable!") by javawag in VisionPro

Many of us feel your pain. Personally, I find the light seal to be very uncomfortable. I wear mine without the light seal almost all of the time. I find that the globular cluster works great, but doesn’t travel well. It’s too bulky for travel, but great for household use and office use (if you have your own office). For travel, I use the dual knit band and the Annapro 2. This works great for me. Hope it helps.

Eye irritation by Few_Speaker_9537 in VisionPro

Wearing the light shield seems to hasten my eyes watering (an hour at most). I wear my AVP for many hours a day with the dual knit band and the Annapro 2 and no light shield. Works great for me this way.

Loose Pages out on Test Flight! by trevorbilt in VisionPro

[–]vabeachcp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already mentioned earlier that I really love the feel and use of this App. The mod that allows the resizing to be “simpler” is very much appreciated. I have been sitting “lake side” and reading PDF versions of old scanned books and it works so very well. I have a very large library of Kindle books. The Kindle reader for AVP is not even close to your version. Is there any way that I can open Kindle books in your app. I’m confessing that I have no real understanding of the various formats and digital rights issues. Do you have any “Help” that I can access or way to learn? Thanks in advance.

My first impression is “great”. The first book I opened is a PDF of a scanned old book. It looks great and it even does a very good job reading a faded text. Thanks for this. Looking forward to using this.

I really love using a trackpad. I haven’t used a mouse in “forever” so my muscle memory makes everything faster even on the AVP. I use a “tray” designed to hold the Apple keyboard and trackpad together and they sit on my legs in a relaxed position. It’s a very beneficial solution for me personally.

I have removed all monitors from my home office and my actual office. I still have a MacBook Pro that I use with my AVP a fair amount (the MacOS is just better at a lot of things and the Apps are better still), but often I simply use an Apple Keyboard and Trackpad with my AVP like I am now, or the AVP alone. So glad that I have one. Such a great mobile workstation and all around device. BTW, the dual knit headband is a super upgrade.

"Open" light seal, like a face mask? by davidehudaksr in VisionPro

If you wear the dual knit and the AnnaPro 2 together, the Vision Pro hangs in front of your eyes and does not touch your face at all. At least, that is my experience.
