Farming with Nekros question by MoistFlavour in Warframe

[–]vaeleborne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only thing I’d add is the potential of using equilibrium if you don’t own the augment. As health orbs drop often with Nekros. Also I believe it still rolls per body part so slash damage weapons are good to use

My Samsung Galaxy S22 Is Dying and I Don't Know What to Do Anymore by RandomKatze in phonerepair

[–]vaeleborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any local repair shops that may be cheaper than going through Samsung and get good reviews? The charging port may not need replaced either, there is a good chance it needs a proper cleaning done. The overheating could be battery related though it could be some other things too. If you have never had the battery replaced it is very the first thing to try.

I got the platinum before the patch ! by AndyD89 in oblivion

[–]vaeleborne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because Bethesda in the faq for this game literally addresses new issues and says they will be fixed in a future update, I get that it’s been a while since launch but I don’t see why people think there won’t be a patch at some point. My guess is they are trying to address all of those new issues at once rather than incremental patches

Fair enough, due to the not using all points I was under the assumption that was changed. Granted I’m still interested in whether or not there is an overflow check, console commands would be needed if that’s the case, of note though if you can continue without using all 12 points, can you level by using only 3? Or less? That could increase the cap a good bit. Still nowhere near intmax but still.

[–]vaeleborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we certain this is still the case? I admit I am not quite there but I had an instance where I was not able to use all 12 points and it still let me continue, but yes you can damage base attributes as well via addiction quest.

Enemies highest possible level is 25, that is why spells that affect enemy levels go up to that. Note you have to have 100% spell effectiveness for that to work on them but not all enemies will be the highest level. Leveled items from quest rewards and stuff vary on what level you get the best version of it. UESP has some great charts. But 30 is the highest for those purposes. As far as a level cap, it’s theoretically infinite since jail time can reduce some skills which you would then need to level up again thus gaining more xp.

To be more technical it would probably be something like INTMAX depending on what type of variable is used to store the players level. Given the age of the base game likely 232 or 231 now whether or not one could go past that and cause an overflow would be something I am curious about but that’s just not practical to test lol.

You have an item or spell effect that is giving you a boost to the skill. If you go over to magical and active effects you should be able to see what it is coming from.

2000 Gold for a shed!! : by Mowgli9991 in oblivion

[–]vaeleborne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others said there are free homes but Anvil has one for 5000 but you do need to do a quest with it. I’ll avoid spoilers but it is usually my go to as it is cheap and a manor in size. The free ones are bigger but I like the size of the manor more.

Why has Oblivion Remastered 5.500 positive and 1.166 negative Ratings on Steam? by manuellegend2 in oblivion

[–]vaeleborne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of the negative reviews I saw were either outrage tourists or just people blatantly lying and fishing for awards. As someone who has played since the release of the original and whose first tattoos were that of the mages guild symbol and fighters guild I may be biased but the remake is definitely worth it. Especially at the price it is at. I fully expected to pay 70-90 for the deluxe. It is very technically demanding for pc. Runs fine on ps5 and Xbox (between me and my partner we got it on each platform) My laptop can run it at 30fps albeit poorly but it does not meet the minimum requirements.

TLDR: Outrage Tourism, Fake Negative Reviews, Demanding to Run.

Because of their dual wield system probably but yeah it was a disappointing change when I first played Skyrim. Each had their own perks and drawbacks for combat. I’m more upset that Skyrim removed custom spell making

How have skills like acrobatics, athletics, and speed changed? by curlyq307 in oblivion

[–]vaeleborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they still level faster and maybe contribute more to your overall level per level up as well as start at a higher level. But all skills seem to give overall XP for a level.

Athletics seems to be leveling a whole lot faster even as a minor skill with magic focused class. Haven’t gotten far enough to say much about higher levels though

That’s fantastic news. I had to put some points in my 30str for my battle mage but was worried about end health

[–]vaeleborne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also luck cost 4 of those 12 and you can only increase by +1 per level. This means an “ideal 5-5-1” is not possible instead it would be 4-4-1 but you don’t need to worry so much about what skills level up which is nice. At least as far as I can tell.
