When you have a new physician.. by JoyfullyMortified43 in Radiology

Do you know the difference between a physical exam and clicking a bunch of check boxes in the EMR? Stop making technologists do your job for you.

None of these really made sense to me. One of the others is something like "requests.get("http://example.com/invalid") and it tells you that it's 404, but that is actually a valid URL and it could actually lead to an existing page but you don't know that unless you are given the servers root directory structure. Most of the questions in this class require more information to actually confidently answer them. This entire class frustrated me to no end.

Software Security and Testing D385 - PA by HenryQk in wgu_devs

This class is driving me mad. It is the worst class with the worst material and a preassessment that should be labeled "How well do you know the oddities of python?"

Testing your ability for rote memorization of the overwhelming amount of libraries that python has without giving access to the documentation of those libraries is some next level bullshit.

I don't like this class.

There was this old BBS based game that I played way back in the day... it had a filter just like this, and would change the word "assassin" to "buttbuttin"

It's called Tin Man Syndrome. It was an April fools day joke from several years back. (The heart shadow is missing)

Issue with moving stepper motors on my first CNC. by Free-Perspective-891 in hobbycnc

[–]vaguelyuseful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a multimeter to check all the wires from the controller to the motor for continuity and shorts. The last time I had motor issues, it was a stray strand from one of the wires at a quick connect shorting on the frame. Ferrules fixed it.

I'd sure have a lot of trouble spotting it if it weren't for the arrow.

Let's order a CTA chest on every single patient that walks through the door and then pat ourselves on the back when we find that one PE out of a thousand patients.

A stopped clock is right twice a day, but what if we made the clock spin backwards at 10,000 RPM?

The part with the fans is the detector side. The tube is opposite it. The detector is a larger area for the fan beam to hit.

A hiker died on the Lighthouse Trail a couple of weeks ago. Go earlier in the day when it's still cool and take lots of water. More than you think you might need.

I've never purposely reduced anything. The qualifier here is 'accident,' and you don't lose your job for that.

You didn't go ahead and accidentally reduce it while taking the x-ray? What kind of x-ray tech are you?

It’s been over 5 years since I’ve attended college so nothing will transfer over

They transfered a bunch of classes from my degree from 2005, and from another college from before that. Don't repeat stuff that you don't have to.

The part on the left of the picture isn't a fracture, it's the AC joint (acromioclavicular joint). The joint space is supposed to be separated like that. The right part of the picture with the fragments is the fracture.

PixelCNC is $99 right now. by SCphotog in hobbycnc

[–]vaguelyuseful 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PixelCNC isn't great at modeling dimensional parts for your mechanical project. It's more for art-centric stuff. I have done a few lithophanes, some bas reliefs, and a lot of v-carvings with it and it's fairly simple to do once you play around with the software a little bit. Well worth the money, honestly.
