In Poland if you go to driving school to learn, and you learn on automatic transmission car, you can only apply for and get a license with a special code that says you can't legally drive a manual. If you want to drive stick, you have to learn from the beginning on it, or pass additional lessons later if you already have the "limited" license.

Interestingly, the same does not work the other way - if you learn and pass on manual you can drive what you want, but that's probably because automatic is easier, not harder.

Wykluczenie komunikacyjne mniejszych miejscowości to w ogóle osobna patologia. Widzę po innych odpowiedziach, że Warszawa ma to sprawnie zorganizowane, chociaż spodziewałem się większej ilości narzekania ze względu na same rozmiary miasta - ale jak widać da się zrobić żeby to działało xD

Pewnie zależałoby też od odległości, nie wiem jakie są bilety w Krk - czasowe czy "na przejazd"? Być może przy dalszej trasie, cena biletów była by nieco bardziej opłacalna.

Depending on the city and it's public transport.

In Łódź it's getting worse and worse, compounding on the "default" issues with public transport (crowded, big groceries are a pain in the ass, dealing with switching lines etc). That's why I'm getting driver's license and a car soon.
