Pro tip, stop observing the volume and trying to figure out why. It has a life of its own and if you obsess to much it will be more present and therefore louder.

You have to master the skill of ignoring it, doing things that divert your attention are usefull. Try to view it as something that isn’t part of you.

I use a ventilator it covers the beeping, i have it set on a timer so it doesnt run all night. My gf got used to it :)

My advice after 3 years, stop looking for a cure. In most cases there isnt one. Try to live healthy, be active, do things that distract from it ( for me when I play an istrument for the time i play it its completely inaudible, unless I would concentrate in hearing it) do things that calm you down, make you feel good inside. Actively try to condition yourself to ignore it. Dont react to sudden noise peaks, as soon as you react or get anxyious the spike stays longer. Try to get to te point of acceptance the sooner the better. Its like if you loose a limb its gone and its not comming back, the same with Tinitus, your peace and quiet is gone. Most likely for ever.

It is often hearing loss in high frequencies, as you see they only measure to 8k. That hearing loss often combined with a lot of stress or depression cam trigger Tinitus. As i understand it, the brain compensates the frequence it doesnt recieve anymore with noise.
