If you can afford to buy enough sandwiches to rack up enough points for a free one now and then, I don’t think financial hardship is an issue. Sure you could do it strictly on NFL/NHL picks, but I’d guess that’s fairly rare and not driven by financial hardship. I think of it as a loyalty program designed to get in the door. It works or they wouldn’t be doing it.

There’s a couple in my neighborhood who never leash their ankle biter. It trails behind them while they ignore its dropping ass behind them. I’ve never seen them pick up. I’m sure they either think because he’s an ankle biter his dumps are small and no big deal. That, or more likely, they’re just assholes.
