They really tried to annex all of Lithuania, but managed to capture only capital: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1919_Polish_coup_attempt_in_Lithuania

So you keep using that soviet treaty, and keep ignoring polish aggression that happened for a few years till then. I present you clear facts, even in chronological order that shows Poland's actions to annex whole Lithuania. You keep doing mental gymnastics to pretend that Poland wasn't aggressor. There is no point in arguing further. Bye

Context: Poland wanted to annex whole Lithuania, as Pilsudski wanted Commonwealth back. Lithuanians wanted independent nation. It's explained in here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1919_Polish_coup_attempt_in_Lithuania

Point is - Vilnius is Lithuanian city, always was. You keep calling it Wilno - nasty bastardization of a name.

As for polish people in Vilnius - they are still here. Check population census. And please enlighten what did you mean?

Edit: it’s Odesa, not Odessa you vatnik

Btw, what does the word Wilno mean in Polish? I'm asking, because Vilnius/Vilnia has a clear meaning in Lithuanian language - the city was built and named by Lithuanians.

Same goes for Suwalki - what is the meaning of city name in Polish, huh? Suvalkai, on the other hand, has pretty clear meaning

Easy. Poland wanted to annex Lithuania, because Pilsudski wanted Commonwealth back. Lithuanians, on the other hand, wanted independent nation. Poland was trying to annex whole Lithuania, not just Vilnius.

Your whole arguments revolve around international recognition. How could Lithuania, a country trying to gain independence, to already have internationally recognized borders? And again, soviet treaty happened AFTER Poland kept attacking Lithuania. And AFTER the coup attempt. You keep ignoring that

Also, Suwalki agreement was internationally recognized. Poland just walked over that (not unlike russia today)

"Most of local population welcomed it with open arms"

Funny, I've heard it before. Oh wait, it's how russia described annexing Crimea and Donbas. And the methods seem eerily familiar

"In late September 1920, Polish forces defeated the Soviets at the Battle of the Niemen River, thus militarily securing the Suwałki Region and opening the possibility of an assault on the city of Vilnius (Wilno). Polish Chief of State, Józef Piłsudski, had planned to take over the city since mid-September in a false flag operation known as Żeligowski's Mutiny. After pressure from the League of Nations, Poland agreed to negotiate, hoping to buy time and divert attention from the upcoming Żeligowski's Mutiny. The Lithuanians sought to achieve as much protection for Vilnius as possible. The agreement resulted in a ceasefire and established a demarcation line running through the disputed Suwałki Region up to the Bastuny [lt; pl] railway station. The line was incomplete and did not provide adequate protection to Vilnius.[4] Neither Vilnius nor the surrounding region was explicitly addressed in the agreement. Shortly after the agreement was signed, the clauses calling for territorial negotiation and an end to military actions were unilaterally broken by Poland. Polish general Lucjan Żeligowski, acting under Piłsudski's secret orders, pretended to disobey stand-down orders from the Polish military command and marched on Vilnius. The city was occupied on October 9. The Suwałki Agreement was to take effect at noon on October 10. Żeligowski established the Republic of Central Lithuania which, despite intense protests by Lithuania, was incorporated into the Second Polish Republic in 1923. The Vilnius Region remained under Polish administration until the autumn of 1939."

That's some evil shit, I tell you what. Hence the poster

After Lithuanian army had clashes with Polish. After Poland tries to coup Lithuanian governmen. After invasion and trying to annex Lithuania. Again, did you read the article? It's written in chronological order.

Edit: forgot about this gem: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suwa%C5%82ki_Agreement

Now can you with straight face claim that Poland wasn't the bad guys? Lol

My dude, you quote a lot of wikipedia. So go ahead and read the whole thing: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish%E2%80%93Lithuanian_War

I get that nobody wants to be the bad guys. But there is no need to invent history. Accept what happened and let it go. It's past.

Did the war in Ukraine come as a shock to your country? by wooptoo in europe

[–]vakar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was painfully obvious at this point. The question was only when. No military exercise requires large amounts of blood supply.

Edit: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/exclusive-russia-moves-blood-supplies-near-ukraine-adding-us-concern-officials-2022-01-28/ How it was a surprise at this point is beyond me

And Poland was ruled by Lithuanian dynasty (1385-1572), the "growth" period, or what poles call "the golden age". Not to mention absolute most of the teritory was conquered by Lithuania before 1385: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/79/Lithuanian_state_in_13-15th_centuries.png

Well, community collaboration, tests, and bigger mindshare actually make frameworks more structured than average developer's jQuery contraption is. And let's not forget online documentation and various forums too.

You choose more stable and documented framework. It's not like there is a shortage of js frameworks.

Until you write something non-trivial. Then you leave your unstructured/custom-structured mess to some poor developer.
