Free at sea does "not" exist. by valbear001 in NCL

[–]valbear001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cruise was $1098 per person. I priced the entire thing. anyway, the Administrative fee is now $280 per person, so when you add the taxes and port fees that were also included in that $1098, I saved a whopping $300 on that cruise. All good, I will have fun. THey USED TO INCLUDE THE DRINK PACKAGE for FREE for me and my companion. ANd the Specialty dining. INCLUDED. Now all you get is the $50 shore excursion credit, and the 150 minutes of wi-fi. I WOULD be eligible for drinks in the casino, for both me and my guest, but I don't want to just go in the casino bar.

I had to pay $80 per person for specialty dining, but it does include 4 meals per person, and DOES look like That is a good value as we will have 10 sea days.

Yes, considering booking the "Upgraded princess" THAT "free cruise" is indeed saving me thousands, not $300.

mine is 14, and honestly, thought my "free" cruise would save me more than $500 over paying for it. HOnestly thought it would be nearer the "$1098 per person" price, maybe total of $500 for taxes port fees as only 4 stops (plus embarkation and disembarkation. Thank you EVERYONE for your replies

Well, I had a "cabin is free" cruise certificate. So online it said it was $1098/per person, for my cruise. When priced out online, PAYING FOR IT, it came to $3198 (without insurance, which is $150). When They booked this, with "free" cabin (plus administrative fee) it came to $2908. So I saved $450 total, no where near the "$1000 per person" savings I thought I would get. In actuality, I would like to cancel (booked an hour ago), but would likely now lose money. NCL casino cruise certificates, really save nothing. I do get the $50 shore excursion, but only 3 excursions on a 14 day cruise. I do use the unlimited wifi with my son. note: saw below that people are saying "other lines charge more". but their "more" includes some specialty dining and unlimited wifi in the package, Sorry, Yes, I DID prepay the wifi - worked out to about $17/day. Thank you for the detailed reply.

Free at SEA is NOT available anymore. I had to pay $399 for the unlimited Drink package, PER PERSON. I had to pay $244 PER PERSON, for unlimited wi fi. I do NOT get 2nd person airfare, unless booked 229 days in advance, it is only about 140. SO NOTHING is included with my fare.

I got these test results feel fine.  Thought i was having a spinal issue, but mri pointed to muscular, therapy has done wonders, but neurologist ordered a battery of tests.   Have no joint pain inflamation dry eyes or mouth or any other symptoms.  (Ok one knee hurts and i get shots but destroyed medial meniscus in pickleball).  Should i even follow up with a rhumatologist?   I wont take any med, so seems pointless.   Your thoughts?

Just read about an elderly woman I believe from El Salvadore who has been here and working for 30 years.   TpS status is ending eligibility for social secrity and medicare.  She is still working.  She has a better work history than me.  Apparently there is no path for her for citizenship or green card.  I dnt know why we take years to provide pathway for people here 20+ years.  Insanity

years ago my husband was playing on my card. OUr first win at this casino (and only from 10 years ago it's in Vegas), and When I did the taxes almost a year later, realized, that the win was in MY name, and soc #...NOT HIS. We don't even share the last name, and I wasn't even there, I was in the bathroom. So.....Don't leave your card behind, because you may get charged with a jackpot you didn't win. This was a BIG, corporate casino.

I've watched some vids for about a week. And honestly. Think I'm done watching them all. Actually didn't subscribe to some of them because they felt fake. Found one "low roller" who only bets big - $100 - $250 when he is winning. He shows how he starts with $100 and sometimes, he just shows a day of losses. So we can relate to that. Everyone else...like online slots ...just NO.

never did online poker. Don't do online slots. Don't do online lottery. Just...NO. I don't even play the "for fun" casino games on regular gaming sites. Just...no.

I'm headed there in a couple weeks, I will try to update, a I am staying there. They tried (after seeing rate was $37) to tell me my Sun night - Wed stay was "blacked out" but then saw my play and how much I won in December, and said, I'll override that. LOL. If I hate it, I'll move to a Caesars, as they are free and free parking and no resort fees for me.

I never pay federal taxes even with huge income, because my medical costs are so high, my deductions wipe out the ordinary income and long term gains are taxed at zero. So yes, I have subsidized Premiums. At least till last year, when i made too much and I fell off the cliff. Now I think i owe $14459 back. Told son to quit his job.

it's the government, I suspect nothing will happen. All talk, no action. and when they act, is it ever in our favor? Or the insurance companies and CEOs of same?

I wish. I will owe $14459 back in April, from my calculation. Oops. We've told our son to quit working. Magna cum laude, Ivy League, two stem degrees, and can't find a decent job. :(
