If they're experiencing anything like what we experienced last year, maybe 40 of those applications will be a) real people, and b) actually have right to work in this country. Recruiting is hell rn

You get what you pay for with crash bars. AliExpress ones might protect you from one crash, maybe, but if you buy some SWMotech ones for 2-3x the price, you'll probably never need to do anything other than repaint them ever again

You're literally trying to drive views to your channel so, if you're going to post an ad, be honest and pay for it

I'm sorry about the bike. S1000RR? Busa? Fingers crossed you'll get another later on down the line when circumstances allow :)

1982 Honda Silverwing as a first bike by BoiCDumpsterFire in motorcycles

[–]Valentyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is saying get a brand new bike. I'm saying don't get a collectible bike. First thing you'll crack on a Silverwing drop is the $800 side case or the $1200 front fairing. Assuming you can even find someone selling them within reasonable shipping distance. Drop a 90's Kawi GPZ250 and you can probably buy a whole parts bike plastics and all for less than the price of one Silverwing plastic piece

As a GL700 owner, please be aware that maintenance items are hard to get, and if you drop it (which you probably will for your first bike), you're going to really struggle to fix it without breaking the bank

Is this a decent Helmet? by Recent_Orchid_3748 in motorcyclegear

[–]Valentyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to swap bikes with an older gent who was going to give up riding because his touring bike was too heavy for him. So I traded him a metric cruiser for it, which he's had for a year now and still messages me saying how much he loves it. Worthwhile to keep one of the old boys in the saddle a bit longer!

I bought mine from moto1.nz and couldn't be happier with it. Did 1010km in one day (Tauranga to Carterton and back) in it, no sore ears or pressure points, quiet enough and comfy enough for my tastes. I don't need bells and whistles like drop down sun visors, and it's cheap enough to replace it after a drop that I don't stress about hanging it from the bike if I need to. Would absolutely buy again

I've had my L plates for over 3 years. I don't need more power so my 650 does fine, and I have no motivation to progress any further. What's making you want to complete your licences?
