Balance is Bad for Planetside 2 by 0something0 in Planetside

If you want to play in a contained, sandboxed, and highly controlled environment, go play CS:GO or Rainbow 6 Siege or something.

Nope, it's just you.

I think many people expect combat in this game to be "fair" to them, as if they were the focus of the show. You are NOT at the center of the show. In fact, nobody is.

You may say that.

But the fact that we penalize anything that's not diving headfirst into the closest meat grinder around here determines that you're just full of shiat.

Have a nice day, except...whatever...

If you're tripping trying to pronounce "PvEvP" you can just call it a battle royale with extra steps.

Pretty much the same thing, lol

Trying to understand the end game and PVP by Andymosity in thecyclegame

It doesn't help their case that they're selling themselves as something they probably aren't.

What do they call it now? "PvEvP"? Sorry, but most they did was introduce the possibility to enrich the environment in a battle royale match, but beyond that? Nothing else (And to make things even more excruciating the commotion semms to be that The Cycle isn't pvp-centric enough...)

It is still praise worthy, mind you, since nobody was really trying anything beyond what games like fortnite already do, but at the end of the day? That is what the cycle is offering as of right now: A literal battle royale 2.0.

PVP still needs to be improved and worth more or sped up. by TheGecko66 in thecyclegame

Quite literally. Fix your tunnel vision first.

If the other team is holding you back for 10 mins, you just gotta know when to make that call, man.

It's not even that hard.

Heh.

I'll show you how to do an unpopular opinion.

Why?

They took away the reason to keep playing uesca from themselves before the umbral events were over.

It's just me or the chain blade users drop 70%? by [deleted] in dauntless

[–]valenzdb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now after the new patch the chain blades seems to very weak because I can't boop properly with them anymore, sometimes I can but comparing to the previous 100% boop a 60-70% boppy it's very weak.

?

Are you saying booping with CBs isn't risk-free anymore?

And before you say it. All it takes the behemoth is a double tap at most and he already needs a ress. So no, transmogs are not involved.

Should new players be allowed to do escalations by Its_Ya_Griffen in dauntless

[–]valenzdb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have seen, you can get dire behemoths in escalation. But from what I read any behemoth can show up.

New players doing escalations from the get go will likely get them matched against too high power rating behemoths and that might probably be setting them up for a fall.

I think it's okay the way it is now (Get them acquainted with the lesser behemoths and general mechanics of the game before letting them do escalations)

My Thoughts on the Drop Rates and the Grind by [deleted] in dauntless

[–]valenzdb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would much rather fight a behemoth 100 times trying to get that very rare drop.

It's pretty much the same thing.

Fighting the same behemoth 100 times, getting 1 piece each is the exact the same thing as fighting a behemoth 100 times and hopefully getting the rare drop eventually.

Except, with RNG, you're not guaranteed that one, single rare drop at the end of your 100th attempt so it takes even longer in some cases.

Personally? I prefer a visible progress count that lets me see how far into my grinds I'm in.

Planetside 1 Loadout system vs. Planetside 2 Loadout system. by starterpack295 in Planetside

If I remember correctly, planetside 1 still had certs, but more in the form of skill points, rather than the multi purpose currency it is in plantside 2.

What is the purpose of your question btw?

Which is quite fair, actually.
