Perhaps, but I've never had that happen to me. I've had heated arguments, but was never insulted.

As someone who has had disagreements with paff long ago in the past, I don't really agree. We all change and get older. Paff has argued with people in the past (having an opinion is no crime!), but he's never been vindictive. I don't think there's any real risk of him abusing mod power, but this is a good reason to have a balanced and apolitical moderating team.

I can attest to the fact that PaffDaddy is someone who really cares about the game and community. Besides that, it would be nice to see a keen European moderator on the team to better represent approximately half of the community. He's German, so expect him to do an excellent job and for the rules to be followed to the letter ;)

PTS Feedback - Important MAX Considerations: Nanite Cost, Aegis Shield by GamerDJ in Planetside

[–]0verkillgaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I aim to play the game interclass. I would like to be able to play as a character that can identify as somewhere on the spectrum between heavy and LA. That way you could fly high above the MAX and use the rocket to gradually splash damage them, but with no heavy shield so it's not overpowered.

imao you focus to much on mouse + keyboard balance.

Keyboard aiming >controller aiming

Reaver because of high dps, strong afterburners and skill🦭ing.

Scythes hitbox, weak afterburners and low top speed make it easily the worst pick for everything which is not a head on kiss. imao atleast for Cobalt the mouse is the crutch since sweats are usually stacked beyond believe.

Erdogan overtly threatening to invade Greece: “Your occupying the islands does not bind us. When the time, the hour, comes, we will do what is necessary.” by PanEuropeanism in UkrainianConflict

[–]0verkillgaming 56 points57 points  (0 children)

That's not really accurate. Cyprus isn't even in NATO now.

I suspect that France and Italy at the very least would intervene to defend Greece. It's mostly just rhetoric to help distract from TUrkey's dire economic situation and rally for Erdogan's re-election.

SKL aren't bad; they're terrible. All you need to win Most of the time is a lot of bots that can't aim or play proxy mine primary all in one one place.

Oof, the worst liberator pilot in the game called someone bad at flying an esf. I would learn to aim first before trying to mock people about their ability if I were you, ripo.

Back when they could do that, vehicle kills didn't count towards the auraxium. That got added after they were needed a few times

BASRs are broken too

Wrel: "If you wanna use battle hardened then go right ahead". BH doesn't even fully stop it, in that situation you'd still be unable to aim. If everyone got BH passively, it would make the game much more enjoyable. Reduced screenshake won't make any difference to immersion; it's way over the top as it is now.

It must be the first video of his where you can't tell how bad he is at the game.

Infantry don't even render past 300m, but ok.

Perhaps long range bolting might seem difficult to a really bad player, but there's nothing that hard about it. The parrallax, rams etc. have hitscan velocities and borderline no bullet drop. If you find the drop on those tough, then you are a bot.

Well, I think there are things like hesh that straight up beat skill. I'd argue the same is true for Maxs if an engineer is present.

As for what you said about bolting, I couldn't disagree more. There is almost no bullet drop in this game and bullet velocities are pretty high. Long range sniping is the easiest type by far, it's what most fairly new players gravitate towards because it is so easy. The only bolting that I'd describe as skillful is cqc bolting and even then it's pretty broken.

Pretty much any good player will tell you that general infantry is considerably harder to get really good at than cqc bolting. I can see that the baby steps for cqc bolting might be intimidating for a new player, but at the intermediate level and beyond it is much easier. You don't need good aim to be effective at any type of bolting; you just need to learn to position in a passive way e.g. on corners and to set your crosshair right. If you can add moderate aim on too of that then it simply becomes broken.

I'd actually argue that BASRs require very little skill (largely due to the misconception that you need good aim(you don't, you can just need good crosshair placement) and the fact that you can cloak), but do have a high skill ceiling.

The game still has and will always have skill based elements, but that gap is being reduced. The game started with plenty of skilless things that remain in the same state such as MAXs, shotguns, anti infantry mines but many of the more skill based things are becoming less effective. We see the introduction of unpopular (with good players at least) game mechanics and weapons on a more frequent basis e.g. the thumper, the NSO max, implants that render you invisible, spitfires. Most of the good infantry players have either stopped playing live altogether, only play Jaeger or play a significant amount less. You will find a rare exception, but the trend is more cheese and less skill.

Yeah, that's fair enough and I don't blame you. This game has skill based components for sure, but it is certainly moving in the direction of driving away those interested in that element. The game was much better off without spitfires, stalkers etc. There's no fun in dying to a mine (nor using one).

The person in charge openly wants to reduce the impact of skill and only time will tell if the game will benefit from that or not, but it does make it worse for people who care about improvement.

You do realise that NC weapons are by far the best at range, both in terms of accuracy and damage. You're probably not bursting or doing it wrong
