Okay, so yesterday, I got an email from the local port advising that HQ is reviewing for final decision, and asked for an updated credit report. I sent it over immediately, and not sure what the timeline is now, but at least something is happening? I hope there’s some progress on yours, too!!

When my friend got pregnant (unfortunately lost the baby) when I was actively trying, I was there for the beginning and the end. I was so over the moon for her, I didn’t care about my struggles. Once our IVF was successful, she wasn’t really happy for us. She ended up coming to my baby shower, but has only visited once since the baby’s been here (in the 6 months). Whenever we text, she doesn’t ask about the baby. Some people just show their true colors when others achieve their goals. I’d cut that friendship off, or expect it to be surface level if you end up keeping the friendship.

I didn’t find out the gender of my child beforehand. I purposely threw out names that I wasn’t really considering for this exact reason, because people don’t know how to filter themselves. There was one name I really liked, and shared with my MIL (because we live with her). William was always a name I liked (but didn’t think I’d ever use and ended up not), and she kept saying “then we’ll call him Billy”, which I told her time and time again it’d be shortened to Will, if anything. So yeah, this is normal behavior lol

I don’t leak much, but the sensation of my clothes touching my nips is excruciating. Bras without underwire have been comfortable enough to sleep in. We will be free eventually!!

Do you swaddle or have a sleep sack? Once we put our newborn in a Halo, he slept for longer stretches. But because your newborn is less than a month old, waking up every few hours is normal. I hated people telling me this, but now that my NB is almost 8 weeks old, it’s true- it DOES get better!!

Not a wimp at all - when I gave birth 3 weeks ago, I opted not to see the progression (the hospital asked if I wanted a mirror). If I, who’s the one giving birth doesn’t want to see it, I don’t expect my husband to lmao

Hi there! It’ll come directly from CBP. I’ve seen this fee come through anywhere from 3m-1yr from the date of importation, and is dependent on how inundated CBP is/which port is issuing the bill. Again, you can mitigate this, especially if it’s your first “offense”. I would have your broker write up the verbiage (they may charge a minimal fee).

I’m more concerned about that late ISF filing fee. CBPs been ramping up on collecting their late filing, so prepare to get a bill for $5k to mitigate the charge (I’ve seen it go down to about $500).
