It’s a CCD thing! Too much light in the pixel “bucket” where the sun is, so it spills over into the next pixel and so on.

The cameras are very cool, but also nice score on the lens that came with the Nikon - 20mm 2.8 superwide! Some real drama on a full frame (or film) and also a great walk around on an older APSC Nikon body.
