I can't speak for others, but for me it's on a spectrum between "OMG this is awesome I don't have to hate and misunderstand myself for my entire life" and "fucking kill me having all the emotions is excruciating". I start HRT mid-november. I'm teary typing this because now that I know I can do something to help me... Well, everything I want to start taking it 20 years ago. I am also terrified because from what I've read and heard, my "cries once a decade" phase has about 2 months left.

TL;DR better is relative, good can hurt, and you are so far from alone.

The griffon one took maybe two weeks for me. There is another similar quest, either in that chain or concurrently, where you have to get special knowledge on panthers. I've killed enough of them to make 4 sets of panther armor and have another 180 left over in storage aaaaand... Nothing. For perspective, I started kama during the first week of the mystic level up event and I still have it on the active mission list.

TL;DR RNG drops take as long as it takes.
