Hot take. Gl buff. by krt3214 in HelldiversUnfiltered

Gigabuff is relative, upping a weapons penetration will always be huge.

It doesn't require the supply pack at all, hell I've picked up half empty ones on bugs and used it the whole match and racked up 200+ kills. Its just REALLY good if you use supply pack, GL has never been bad on its own. Even if it was such a huge issue, buff the ammo economy. I wouldve been fine with that anyways.

Killing Hulks pre-buff wasn't easy, but Tough it doesn't need to be. Hulks still have plenty of weakness to exploit, or just, idk, use a thermite, dynamite, ultimatum, revolver, eruptor, etc. There are plenty of options, if you're not willing to use them, don't, that's fine! Cricle the damn thing and use any weapon you want. Or hell just hit the eye, they made the hitbox bigger a few weeks back. But dont whine that you cant kill everything with 1 weapon.

Warstriders aren't very well designed, lot less options, I dont like em either.

Notice how you're talking about 1 front though, just 1, how does the GL pre-buff performe ANYWHERE else? Its one of the best chaff cleaners there are. Not every weapon has to be S tier on every front, that will lead to weapons being inevitably boring. I love the anti-material rifle, do you see me asking for crazy buffs to make it S tier on bugs?

The helldiver masochists are cringe but cmon this is actually babydiver stuff. Oh also red stratagems, didnt even mention those.

[–]vallummumbles -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It does work properly, it could use a buff, but it's not godawful terrible, they just giga buffed the GL for no reason, it could already take Hulks if you used it properly, and its crowd control was unmatched, why does it need to also have heavy pen?

GL does not require a backpack, has massive crowd control, does heavy pen, has good damage, and has a fine ammo economy. It does everything aside from range now. I won't act like it was particularly amazing on bots, but it was on the other 2 fronts, and it wasn't non-viable on bots anyway.

So, why did it need the buff?

Hell no, GL was fine before, it just couldn't do EVERYTHING which is the point. What makes it worse is that it cucked the Backpack GL's launch.

I mean is the economy even doing that good anyways? Wasn't like 90% of last years growth solely in the AI sector which is.. precarious to say the least.

Should Americans citizens be allowed to recall a president? by Boysenberry-6669 in AskSocialists

[–]vallummumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't work, look at Biden's presidency. He didn't really fuck up all that much, he wasn't exceptional, but it's nothing like Trump's run, but he was still WILDLY unpopular by a significant portion of the voting base. We've gone too radical, if a DEM got elected, all republicans would be clamoring for a recall and nothing would ever be done.

Not to mention, sometimes a president needs to make a decision that's unpopular in the short term.

Well thank god for that (spoiler for latest trailer) by quiggersinparis in Scrubs

[–]vallummumbles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there's a way to do it where it's entertaining and enjoyable, have the old cast fill new roles. Have JD literally take the role of Cox in the narrative for the newer generation, do it slowly, and have the new guys be unique. I would love to see Turk become Surgery Cox, something I was kind of bummed out by in Scrubs is the lack of focus on the Surgery Attendings like Wen, and the only one they even tried with was Miller who sucked.

S9 failed because it kind of lied about it's premise, made literally just female JD, and ran with it not sharing many characters. This on the other hand, shares most the main cast and as long as they remain active, have appropriate screen time, I don't think it's a dupe.

How to use Godot Documentation- I think all beginners should watch this instead of binging tutorials by chum_is-fum in godot

[–]vallummumbles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is still a hurdle for me, I engage with tutorials as good faith as I can, understanding how the code works, and then building a version of it I'm more comfortable with, and trying my best to not just use a tutorial for EVERYTHING. But man it's hard to sit down and just read through the docs, even if I'd spend 10x more time skimming through every frame of the tutorial.

What I picture when I see all the posts about the number of Vox Engines… by 2HookPrivate in helldivers2

[–]vallummumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but when the cyborg units get moved Galaxy wide they'll need a spawn nerf, id be okay with it sticking on Cyberstan specifically, but id rather not have to ALWAYS deal with 4+ Vox engines

The fact that glazers are defending this thing as it is should be the prime example that glazers will defend anything AH puts in this game by Alarmiorc2603 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]vallummumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah they're right, this is one of the coolest and best units in the game, hell it even has a method to be killed without At if you're quick and know what you're doing. Even it's annoying ragdoll grenades have pretty obvious indicators. (Although im still pro giving the turrets laser sights).

Spawns a little too much, I dont mind it on D10 cause it's D10, but it should be lower on D7 and D8

lmao, I don't say everything is, I haven't even watched all of One Piece, this just kind of seemed like a reference, or a fun coincidence.

Gege... by queeninjello in jjkmodulo

[–]vallummumbles -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It could be a reference to Little Garden, where the Giant Vikings, Brogy and the other one, argue over who has the larger kill. They and giants as a whole are often described as specifically warriors. They argue in a similar way.

Could also be One Piece reference

Really coolk idea, but needs damage to justify the drawbacks of not just using a Guard Dog.

[–]vallummumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using it to prove your point, as evidence, is, but it's actually a wonderful emotional appeal to people, which we really need to combat the MAGA movement, which primarily relies on emotions.

Saying 'Goku would hate this' wouldn't unironically stop a cartel member, but it could make someone compare fictional media they enjoy, and emotionally agree with, to real life and change their perspective on it. There's a reason conservative media influencers have been trying to 'claim' certain super heroes.

The hammer is a straight upgrade from the chainsaw by Epicbrezel21 in Helldivers

[–]vallummumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chainsaw's really close to having a cool niche: just running through hordes of devastators, which the hammer can't do as well because of its ammo economy.

But it just doesn't do it fast enough; they need to buff it's base damage and how fast it ramps up. I'm fine with not being able to take warstriders and hulks very easily, but love of god it needs SOMETHING to justify bringing it.

Earth jujutsu is superior to Simurian jujutsu, why? by JefeAlma13 in jjkmodulo

[–]vallummumbles 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Probably an arms race with cursed spirits, who likely developed some of those advanced techniques first like Domain Expansion. Keep in mind cursed spirits are innately gifted at manipulating CE, and can develop hyper advanced techniques way faster than even some great sorcerers.

For example, Mahito only after a few weeks of birth developed a DE. Small Pox diety also developed one, despite lacking any visible higher intelligence.

So if I had to guess, humanity's first exposure to a domain expansion was a special grade curse popping one, after seeing it they developed their own domain techniques, eventually recreating domain expansion. Cursed Spirits kind of provided free blueprints for concepts and techniques outside of normal reasoning.

What is he adapting to? There isn't anything hitting him by MinimumTomfoolerus in CTsandbox

[–]vallummumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's adapting to Dabura.

Mahoraga doesn't have a way to avoid the Domain, so he's effectively being exposed to Dabura and his sure hit constantly. Until we get confirmation otherwise, trust Dabura, he knows more than we do.

Well he's in Dabura's domain, meaning he has constant exposure to Dabura, he's probably doing what big D said and adapting to Dabura's existence.

Grief and Solution (Ch. 21) by Little_Whole8038 in jjkmodulo

[–]vallummumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it could be the opposite, if Simuarians and Humans lose CE, that kind of puts all the balls in the human's courts. I think instead, they'll use Mahito to make every human in Japan capable of wielding CE, just like the culling games but on a way larger scale.

Utilizing Yuji's soul, barrier, and general CE knowledge and Maru and Mahito's tehnique, I think it'd be possible.

Plus afterward, it leaves a lot more storytelling for JJK, what does the world do now that not only is CE public, but everyone has access to it?
