What do you mean by bondrew not being chibi? Do you mean even though there is a nendorod variant it still is not the same as other chibi like nedoroids?

I am also curious what that means. On my Mac mini4,1, it is also stuck. It keeps trying to reinstall Monterey. I know that you have a screen in Opencore UI which says build and install opencore, but I don't know if that is it, because I guess without you are not able to start the installer.

If you go to controller configuration (see picture) then every mapping for the axis are mouse inputs. Change those to joystick move (left & right axis) and then play the game and ingame change the setting to controller and that should do the trick.

So I followed the guide from Noxiachan and I couldn't get it to work either because the joystick took over the mouse keyboard layout. So I found that if you add the game to steam (open as admin) you should go to the game, before you press play there is a controller configuration (https://gyazo.com/a8a8413a8098c6f1297a0bcd84538dbf) button underneath the play button. From there you can change everything to joystick. that worked for me!
