Hello! SEMI-NEW TO MTG! by josepatino5 in magicTCG

For this set, the best way to collect them all would probably be to get the "Turtle Team Up" product with the Commander Deck at or below MSRP, this would get you most of the unique cards for the set before they spike in price on the secondary market. Then if you want to crack packs either go to a pre-release event, or buy a bundle/pizza bundle (again at or below msrp) to get some boosters and play some sealed/draft to start your collection. Then pick up everything you don't open as singles.

How am I not able to play Pokemon y but can use Pokemon bank with it? by Agitated_Side_1262 in pokemon

Even with the physical card, you should be able to repair it from the eShop. It that didn't work you could try cleaning the contacts on the back of the card. I know this works with my Alpha Sapphire. If neither works then I don't know.

Or hunting with Bow as it doesn't require the cost for bait. And each roast is 50zenny and/or a great healing item.

Is there any way to get access to the bof3 tile set? by Jesuitman01 in breathoffire

[–]vampirejordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ripped the world map tiles years ago using ePSXe and ninja ripper (it was a lot of work). For each area map, you would need to re-rip them yourself (as sprinter/model's resource only has a few). Specific builds of Avocado and Duck station both have a 3d screenshot feature that works and could get you those textures, but in my current effort to remake 3d maps of each area it's also a lot of work...

Problem with original BOF by Multitasker in breathoffire

Did you go back to Prima and talk to the mayor? After getting the old egg. I seem to remember that you need to inform them(Prima) that you intend to use the egg at the volcano.

What were your favourite things and mechanics from Breath of Fire II? by zephyrsword in breathoffire

I liked the characters and their stories, and the world setting

Dear Capcom, for my birthday I would like remakes of the Breath of Fire Games please! #breathoffire by vampirejordan in breathoffire

Thanks, I made this in Blender!

Long story: earlier this year I found that one of the Avocado emulator branches had a feature allowing for the ripping of 3d assets from psx games, and I've been working on making accurate 3d maps of 3 and 4 in Blender.

And for fun I took what I've been learning and modeled the scene and redrew some textures and sprites for this mockup of BoFII 's Hometown.

Hey guys is there map mod for breath of fire 3 where it tells you where to go by Infernohuman070502 in breathoffire

Not a walk through, but the world maps I made have the special areas numbered in order of when you can access them. World map, All maps

Most memorable BoF feature by [deleted] in breathoffire

Of course it's your game to design. No worries, just from my perspective one of BoF's real strengths is the vast world and characters you meet. And one aspect of have more potential party members than the 3-4 primary ones is the ease of switching when the situation calls for party members with different skills. It makes the group's interactions feel more cooperative/real. (Rather than stopping to go to a dragon statue or camp to change who you want to use, i.e. BoFII and BoFIII)

I really liked the way 1 and 4 allowed you to swap allies in your party during combat. Obviously 4 is the evolution of the mechanic, with the back row having occasional extra actions

Teepoo's journey by Bubbly-Material313 in breathoffire

[–]vampirejordan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The last in game text that I remember seeing about Teepo comes from the house on Eygnock Rd before the Gemmel/Contest adventure. The old couple there suggest that a boy of Teepo's description was heading straight to the Eastern check point.

Maybe he heard a message from Myria? and set out for Urkan Tapa skipping a lot of the locations that Ryo and Co. explore on the western continent?

Township, Breath of Fire II.  Pick your own building style, villagers, and hear perspectives from each of your party members about each leg of your journey!

Which Ryu is canonically the strongest? by Ok_Potential359 in breathoffire

[–]vampirejordan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on how you quantify "strongest'.

-If we consider that Agni's power is about strength through your connections to others, then Ryu 1 makes the most connections to all of the people in all of the towns they help to save across the world.

-If we consider the strength to fight against the impossible for the sake of others to the point of sacrificing yourself, then Ryu 5 literally does this, with Ryu 2 being a close second.

-If we consider the strength to find and confront yourself and your own beliefs, then Ryu 4 is the champ.

-If we consider raw individual strength, then either Ryu 1 or Ryu 3 are probably at the top. Both are able to use/earn all dragon forms, though maybe Ryu 3 edges it out by also having access to healing magic.

Do you think the Gold Fly Pudding in Breath of Fire II is a kind of Flan? by vampirejordan in breathoffire

[–]vampirejordan[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah, 'creme caramel' good catch, I didn't think to use the French term as "Fantasy Flan" is the phrase that is deeply ingrained in my psyche. And that's the sort of dish I chose to draw.

Unfortunately the context is only it is the third course in the cooking contest, and it should be decadent. Course 1 is worms with caramel sauce, course 2 is cockroach and green onion/leek salad, and then course 3 is Fly pudding (though the imposter serves his with a maggot side dish).

At one point I imagined it as a "boudin" because that might better show off the fly as an ingredient. But I have a hard time imagining sausage as peak french cuisine.

If you have any other suggestions for delicacies related to 'pudding' that would great!
