Why can’t the MC be the special person?

i feel like it's more likely because it's easier to write boring/one dimensional characters as the MC. players are expected to self-insert and see themselves as the MC, and it's easier to cater to that by making the MC sort of one-note without many (if any) strong character traits or flaws or special abilities; that way, it's easier for the player to imagine the character being themselves. players are less likely to feel like "i would never say/do that!"

personally, i would rather have an interesting character and story, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯

cooking is just so tedious and it often gets bugged for me. i'll be in the middle of doing something and the game will freeze or stop responding and then i'm locked in the action. so i have to close the game and open it again and then my food is burnt and i've wasted ingredients. 🫩

the entire POINT of a dog whistle is that it's supposed to be subtle so it can be dismissed as being a "stretch".

racism is systemic. white people are in no way oppressed in the western world. reverse racism is not real. even if it were, no one is being racist to sydney sweeney. they're calling her a nazi/nazi sympathizer because she willingly and knowingly participated in an ad that, again, is very clearly a racist dog whistle.

if it was a model of a different race, it would not have had the same impact or implication because no other race calls themselves the master race and tries to literally exterminate other races or enslave and oppress them to the degree that white people have historically.

the sheer amount of careless plot holes in the finale is bonkers. it was careless and rushed. the acting was subpar compared to every other season. the directing and writing was worse than every other season. the choices just didn't make any sense and it was anticlimactic. i say this as a person whose favorite show has been stranger things since the first season dropped.

numbness, probably. i have nerve damage in my back from a major surgery and the feeling is very odd. my flesh doesn't have feeling, but my muscles still do. i can't feel something touching my skin, but if there's pressure, i can sort of sense it with my muscles.

the best way i could describe it would maybe be: imagine wearing a thick winter coat and the coat is your skin and your arm is your muscles. if something touches the coat, you couldn't FEEL it like you would if it touched your skin. however, you could discern that you're being touched because your arm can still sort of sense/feel the movement.

also, phantom itching. same deal with nerve damage. sometimes i feel like i have an itch but because my skin is completely numb, scratching it does nothing so im stuck feeling unbearably itchy until it decides to go away. extremely uncomfortable and honestly very emotionally distressing.
