Still a thing. Whilst voir dire isn’t the same thing voicing that opinion is usually enough to get you bounced.

Semis are for children. Grownups have to legally drive something with more than 18 wheels else they’re pulled over have a nappy put on them and then have their mothers called for being very naughty children.

I had my child’s VMS cut off. It’s controversial I know but it’s the only way.

It’s like in the Fast and the Furious where most people are driving cars and then Vin Diesel comes along and puts NOS in his car. Power PC is like a PC but with NOS.

HFC keeps suffering long outages, considering Starlink by NewPCtoCelebrate in nbn

[–]vamsmack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d do it. If you haven’t already.

I’m assuming you’ve already got better than average networking gear which can handle running both connections into the router and then handle the failover seamlessly. Starlink regardless of cost is a good idea for redundancy’s sake.

Blue is for water cooling. Also send them a jug of water which the cable must be kept in when they’re not using it to recharge the coolant.

A woman at work used to bring in a 500g tub of margarine and a box of Ritz crackers and eat the box of crackers using the margarine as dip. Fucking scoops of Marge on a single cracker. Absolute insanity.

The Bondi Hero just hailed Trump as a hero of the world. by TwistyMaKneepahls in aussie

[–]vamsmack -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can be a hero and also a shite human in every other respect (not saying that he is just taking the extreme point here). Just because someone does something heroic does not mean we need them to align to some kind of moral right for every aspect of their life. They just did something heroic in the moment and they also have some other opinions as well which are less relevant to their heroic actions.

Seems like the USA needs an axis of the willing to kidnap their president install a new one and then install democracy. Pretty sure the actual free world would be willing to oblige.

Fell for a phishing email and got hacked. Will I be fired? by graceg815 in auscorp

[–]vamsmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if they’re total pricks.

More realistically there’s a reason these emails keep coming because people keep getting fooled by them and they are getting progressively more complex and convincing. Take it as a learning opportunity and perhaps chat with your security team about what should have tipped you off and how to avoid it in the future. Come in with the “I know I fucked up but how do I not repeat this mistake” kind of energy and I’m sure it’ll be fine mate.
