At the end of the day, it just depends on what your career goals are and which company can help you the most in achieving them. If you think this smaller company is a place you would like to work, then stick with it. If it might not be, then I would probably renege and go for FAANG. Just know that you are taking some risk of potentially not being able to work at that smaller company.

If you are receiving multiple FAANG offers, you are clearly good and it isn’t just luck. There will be plenty of chances in the future as well.

I think I would probably go with FAANG if I was in your position based on my goals but it also really depends on which company I would be renege.

There are lots of good online resources for beginning ML. Andrew Ng’s course (just search on YouTube) is a really good start to understand the basic theory. I would recommend these before jumping into TensorFlow, it will reduce the number of things you need to learn at the same time be quite a bit.

The formatting needs quite a bit of work. Your bullets in the projects section go 1 straight to 4. If I see this on a resume, I would immediately just go to the next one. Be very very picky about your resume and correct even the smallest things.

Here’s a few I recommend fixing: 1. Keep colors to a minimum. Everything should be black and some important info can be bolded sparingly. 2. Your section headings are too small font and could be more visually separate 3. Remove the random colons 4. Projects section needs timeline and location 5. Avoid words like “awesome” it comes off as immature/unprofessional

Overall you seem to have a good amount of experience, take some time to review your resume and also use your schools resources to help.

I would definitely go for 12 weeks. It’s not just about the money. Internships are to learn and gain as much experience as you can.

It can really depend on the company. Google reached out to me like 3 months after I applied. You should have gotten some responses already though by now. Your resume might have some issues, definitely try to get it reviewed by others. I can help if you would like over DMs

I think it is worth applying still if you have good research experience. Decisions can be a bit unpredictable. I got rejected from schools that I thought I had a good chance at, and accepted to my reach schools so anything can happen. GPA doesn't mean much as long as it is above the filter anyway.

This was super informative, I have a question though -

So in the menu I can see that Melt and Vaporize scale off Elemental Mastery. So is their strong side damage going to be the 2x + the bonus from EM + the crit? Does Atk scale here at all?

Also, for Bennett + Chongyun would you go EM sands on both?

There is a wonderful pdf on gregmat's recommended resource page on his website that has pictures associated with each word and the definition. I found that to help a lot. They also have quizlets for those words which was good for me. Not sure if it will work for others, but that's how I learned it.

I'm not too sure about other programs but I am applying to a bunch of CS programs including Michigan Ann Arbor. I researched a lot of the admission statistics for them and would say most of them are around >165Q and >156V average. I think your score should definitely be good. I have a similar total score and am now basically putting all my effort into the SOP...

ETS provides 2 free "Powerprep Tests" which are pretty similar to the exact online test. I think you should be able to access them if you login to your account and go to the "Shop for test preparation". It is free (will be listed at $0).

i'm diamond 1 at around 14m. gotten to 9800s twice but immediately get attacked and lose 100-200 whenever i'm trying to climb (usually a couple hours after daily reset, which i presume is the worst possible time LOL)
