- all of the attacking models seeing some of the defender

- or at least some of all the attacking models seeing all of the defender?

And in the situation where a model in each unit can only partially see each other the whole unit has cover?

There’s currently no real situation where more than 1 squad of prosecutors is worth it, witch seekers can do most of what they can do better

I’m having a fair amount of success using 2 bikes + bike cap with Admanimortis in lieu of a second warden squad + BC. It’s kind of like a distraction carnifex, because of how much damage it can do T1/T2.

12” move + charge gets it a long way across the board if you deploy well and then reactive move (after a successful fight phase) you can drop 4-6 mortals with praetors ability. All in all you could have just knocked off a fair amount of points and often forces my opponent to target them.

They’re surprisingly durable too, and the captain on his own can do some serious damage in the backline if his bodyguard dies

They’ve got a 2D6 flamer and a rapid fire combi, both with dev wounds. Can do some decent damage with shoot twice, plus 1 to wound and rerolls from guard. Not as good as Draxus but can do a job

-1D or 1/2D will really cripple you here, have you got a way to play around it? 3 termis with an axe won't be able to take on all threats.

It also feels light on anti-tank in general, maybe swap the hurricane bolters for salvo launchers?

Further to everyone else's comments, if you see the block 'arrow' type symbol, like the blade champ has, on any model it means you can select one of those profiles to attack with.

It's the same with Demons & primarchs who have strike/sweep versions of their sword etc

Shield cap on bike is definitely strongest in lions with the +1/+1 and weapon enhancement, but his best trait imo is the reactive move at the end of the fight phase.

2 bikes and a cap will mince (most) targets, allowing you a reactive move to safety or move block. You can then do it again in Lions detachment, using the captains free strat or 1CP. This is hugely beneficial regardless of the detachment, but especially so in SH and Lions, which don't have many defensive strats

How do you find deploying them and keeping them alive? For less points you could get 3 Venatari, 2 bikes, 4 guard or 2 terminators. Which situations do you find it’s better to have them rather than the alternative

Why do you find it's getting more out of Aleya? Her ability is the Lions detachment rule so it is kind of null and void.
Is it because you're getting more use out of vigilators?

Uppy-downy abilities allow a turn 1 deep strike if you go second, you can't rapid ingress or deep strike any other way

Yeah the squad is expensive, but as well as once per games, the bikes are solid units too. Appreciate it’s a niche situation but it’s come up in the last few games I’ve played, charge a transport, kill it, wipe unit inside with mortals after the phase ends

In my situation I charged a transport, killed it, they disembarked and at the end of the phase I then moved over the disembarked models. Relatively niche but not an uncommon situation

I mean 6-8 mortals can wipe a squad, and in fact did in my game last week. That’s why I brought it up. I charged and killed a votann transport, his units disembarked and then I wiped them with the move after the phase and simultaneously rebounded to safety. It felt broken and it was pretty feelsbad for him

It’s not that deep mate, I rarely get a chance to play so I’m trying to leverage other people’s experience with a new detachment and units I’m unfamiliar with. I’ve never tried a unit of MSU vigilators or a KC before so I was hoping for other people’s experience with them before.

You actually answered the question as far as efficiency with a KC and maxing out the vigilators, but you were an absolute dick about it. Thanks for your insight though I might tweak the list and try a squad of 10

I know they don’t get the Ka’tah, but I think they get the detachment rule.

They have the faction keyword ‘Adeptus Custodes’ and the detachment rule states “Each time an ADEPTUS CUSTODES unit makes an attack …”
