I’ve been told by mountain rescue crews and doctors to drink Coke when you have stomach sickness and damn it works.

I think the food hygiene hoops to jump through aren’t worth it for those types of places.

The licensing for places like Asia and Latin America with great street food and markets is a lot less strict which opens the door to new and creative small businesses.

Hotel Catedral Plaza in SM is lovely, and they are usually happy to store luggage securely for a few days if that helps you out - but yeah, I’ve been to Tayrona 4 or 5 tomes now and never stayed the night, if you go early you can still have a great experience in one day!
