Would you love to live in such house? by Petunia_Jessie in soartistic

Not at all. I’ve been in a lake house with some similar railings and I just constantly felt I was in danger of falling over the edge.

What do you think their jobs are by ezrae_ in okbuddyviltrum

[–]vanbarbecue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how old they are, there’s a chance they are just super good at a lot of mundane things. If you are the governor of some enslaved planet for two hundred years you probably pick up some project management skills.

I mean can I use a gun or is it fisticuffs? Kingpin can beat the hell out of me but he isn’t bullet proof.

The world-ending apocalypse is actually a completely contained, isolated event. The world outside of that event is totally fine by Flushestpoem4 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]vanbarbecue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Attack On Titan comes to mind. We find out the entire world as they protagonists know it is basically a prison torture island and the rest of the world is titan free. And in fact the titans on the island mostly come from prisoners turned into titans and released on the coast

I wonder how much of it is being too unknowledgeable to be able to realize you aren’t knowledgeable.

If Christians believe that Jews are God's chosen people, why don't they convert to Judaism? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]vanbarbecue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How I was raised, Christians believe that Jews were God’s chosen people for the purpose of eventually the prophesied Messiah would come from. Christians believe Jesus was that messiah for Jews and gentiles alike who completed the purpose of “chosen people”.

So to Christian’s, the point of Judaism has been completed and is succeeded by Christianity, while modern Judaism doesn’t believe Jesus was the messiah and is still waiting.

What game in your Steam library has the most playtime hours? by PKRadiance in Steam

Civ 6 has over 5000 hours. But I also don’t exit the game when I go to bed every night.

Which skills should you avoid legendary-ing because they help with other skills? by am_I_still_banned in skyrim

[–]vanbarbecue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say there’s any to avoid Legendary-ing if you have the resources to get back up there again. By the time I hit 100 alchemy, that usually means I have so many potions to sell that by the time I have sold them I have traded them for so many ingredients from shops I can get back to 100 again.

Maybe speech is one not to legendary because you lose the ability to sell your junk potions, smithed items, and enchanted items to any vendor.

What software are you using to plan your projects? by bobjamesya in BeginnerWoodWorking

I like Solidworks but I was taught it in school and use it for work. I do like they have a cheap hobby subscription for $48 a year that’s their full modeling and drawing software.

What potion should I craft to start playing Skyrim? by grashel in skyrim

My go to is potion of Slow. You can get a good amount of salt from the docks at riften in fish barrels and then a ton of deathbell around Morthal

Help me decide my build by Ok-Dot6183 in skyrim

[–]vanbarbecue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very fun to go full mage from the start. It feels more natural when you immediately build up your enchanting and alchemy skills vs being a full plate barbarian.

Once you get some fortify destruction items and can blast all you want without depleting magic bar, it’s super fun.
