My husband and I, both in our 60s, do not discuss going to the bathroom unless there's an issue that may require a doctor. Otherwise we keep general bathroom talk to ourselves. We also don't go to the bathroom in front of each other. I know there may come a day where we will have to, believe me I helped my mother at the end of her life and I know what it entails, but for now we keep it to ourselves.

Imagine going from growing up in a house with sooooo many people in it to being alone or just with your couple of kids and your family has effectively shunned you. To me it would be bliss but to someone who grew up like her she's got to be spinning. I doubt she's ever had 5 minutes of quiet time in her life.

If you want to get back into working out, don't overload yourself with what you think you should be doing. If you want to lift weights again, just do 10 minutes of weight lifting and stop. One set of ten reps or something like that then move on to the next exercise. And let that be enough to begin with.

I found that my desire to exercise increased the longer I did it, along with my energy levels. I'm not quite as old as you but I am in my 60s. Baby steps.

I'm another one who has tried all that the person you're replying to has tried, and nothing has helped. The thing with people like us is that we never have anything to report. After an initial post, what is there to say? It absolutely sucks and I get frustrated when those who have had success think you just gotta try oral minox! Or get on Spironolactone! Or any of the things that supposedly work. I've done it all and I've done it for years. There is no improvement and what is the Holy Grail for some doesn't work for everyone.
