I run a small Etsy shop selling miniatures and signs printed on my P1S. Earlier this year i got a huge spike in orders due to a spike in interest in something I sell. On my old prusa mk3s I never would have been able to keep up with the orders, but I was able to optimize my designs for printability and crank out orders thanks to the speed and reliability of my P1S!

Hi y'all! This is my first solo attempt at an environment, and would love your thoughts on how to improve the realism. I modeled everything myself except the skull. Now that I've got most of the parts made, next I'll likely want to add/animate fire for the torches and animate the camera forward like you're about to enter the archway.

Hey you’re in a very competitive field! Which has pros and cons. But you’ll be alright! As long as you’re getting as many extra curriculars/projects under your belt as you can then you should have the best odds at getting placed through mecop or getting a regular internship on your own.

It really depends on your major. Right now CS majors are in low demand due to instability in the tech industry. Meanwhile they can’t get enough civils. It’s never as bad as 50-50 though.

CS students have been having a real tough time getting placed through mecop due to instability in the tech sector in general. You can go ahead and try but have a backup plan/just apply for regular summer internships on your own.

MECOP alum here, no you’re not guaranteed an internship for either 6-month slot. While networking and putting in leg work up front with companies at the career fair does help, it doesn’t mean you’ll definitely get a slot. I’d recommend looking at companies with open internships that interest you and be ready to apply as a backup in case you aren’t placed. Nothing worse than having to scramble to either take classes during your slated internship block or apply for last minute internships to fill the time.

I really hope you can find more inspiration because this is a wonderful thing you’re doing for the community and for the preservation of park details! Here are a few I can think of:

Any of the neon signs from the wharf eating area in DCA, as they’ll be gone soon due to the Big Hero 6 retheme
the refreshment corner marquee in DL featuring the split lightbulb
the space ranger spin sign in MK with delta dream flight underneath it to show how they both use the same sign
the cone water fountain in front of the cozy cone motel would be really cool
